A man's attempt to take eating challenges in a much healthier direction has gone viral.

He then proceeded to chew and chew until the apple was gone, stopping only very briefly to remove the stalk.

The eating challenge seems to be somewhat of a party trick for Mr Scott.

The 26-year-old filmed himself opening his mouth as wide as possible and shoving the entire fruit inside. It took him less than two minutes to consume the entire apple

Five years ago he was filmed completing the eating test for recruitment company Harrington Starr.

The company posted the video online with the caption: 'Is this the world's most incredible eating challenge ever?

'Man vs horse. Myles takes the lead in the first Harrington Starr hidden talent showcase!'
