They broke up last year blaming their busy schedules from keeping them apart for too long.

But not only have Alex Pettyfer and Marloes Horst rekindled their romance, it seems the couple are now engaged to be married.

The duo, who split up in March, were pictured out in Beverly Hills this week and Marloes, 27, was seen flashing a diamond on her left ring finger.

On the romantic outing the 26-year-old Magic Mike and the Dutch beauty held hands as they strolled while coordinating in slouchy grey sweaters and jeans.

'They are back together, and they are engaged,' a source told E! News.

When they split in March, Alex took to Instagram to announce the news and made it clear there was definitely a chance of reconciliation.

'I wouldn't normally do this as I like to keep my life private,' the British actor wrote alongside a red carpet photo of the couple.

'Despite what may be written, Marloes and I split up due to her being a crazy hot supermodel and her and my work just keeping us apart.

'We are incredible close and love each other tremendously !!! We are best friends and who knows what the future holds.'

The Calvin Klein beauty wrote a similar message on her account.

'Despite of what some papers may say, Alex and I split due to our busy schedules,' the blonde beauty wrote.

The Mail On Sunday first reported the couple were back on in October, going as far to say that they were planning to marry in 2017.

The couple were first confirmed as an item in April 2014.

Alex was previously engaged to Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough.
