On Monday, HBO released the official trailer for the final season of Dunham's popular series Girls.

Dunham narrates the two-minute teaser in which her character Hannah is struggling to make her writing career work.

It begins with Hannah interviewing for a magazine position in a Brooklyn cafe, explaining her worldview to a trendy editor-type:

'I just feel like I’m a really perfect fit for your magazine, I don’t give a s*** about anything, yet I simultaneously have opinions about everything,' she says.

End of the road: On Monday, HBO released the official trailer for the sixth and final season of Dunham's series Girls that premieres on February 12

The trailer quickly cuts to moments featuring Girls co-stars Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet and Adam Driver.

Marnie, who is played by Williams, juggles her feelings for old-flame Ray and new love Desi, who she married at the start of season five.

The perky Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) is busy reevaluating herself after returning from her high-powered job in Japan while Jessa (Jemima Kirke) grapples with her guilt over dating Hannah's ex-boyfriend Adam.

It ends with a quick cut of each character raptly reading from the newspaper as Hannah explains:'I want to write stories that make people feel less alone than I did. I want to make people laugh about the things in life that are painful.'

Girls returns to HBO for season six on Sunday February 12 at 10pm.
