She's set to star in a hit new Fox series, beginning next month.

So it's no surprise that Australian actress Miranda Otto, 49, was on hand to celebrate at the FOX Winter TCA 2017 All-Star Party in Pasadena, California on Wednesday night.

The Lord of the Rings star oozed elegance in a sleeveless black A-line gown, which highlighted her naturally cinched waist and slender arms.

The chic number featured intricate pink detailing along the waist and collar, which added a pop of colour to the overall look.

She paired the ankle-length gown with matching black pointed-toe pumps and a single bracelet.

Her makeup consisted of light foundation, blush, smokey-eyes and pink lipstick.

Miranda once starred alongside Hollywood stars Cate Blanchett and Rose Byrne in the 2013 Australian anthology film The Turning and she said the film's success was rare for Australia.

'You can’t sell gritty crime shows from Australia, people want those from New York,' she previously told The Big Issue.

'There are perceptions of how places should be and since Neighbours and Home and Away, it’s that things from Australia that sell are sunshine, beach and cute kids.'

New gig: 24: Legacy, which is a spin-off of American drama 24, airs in the US next month
