Red carpet ready...to shop! Mariah Carey wears form-fitting black evening gown as she enjoys some retail therapy in Beverly Hills

She's never one to skip the glamour.

And Mariah Carey, 46, certainly made sure to make an impression at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills on Monday night.

Ever the diva, the singer appeared with a glamorous side-swept curly ponytail and tight black Herve Leger-inspired dress.

The form fitting dressed hugged the songstresses figure in just the right way, with a peek-a-boo neckline showing a hint of cleavage.

Even though the sun had clearly gone down, the Fantasy singer opted to wear sunglasses as she entered the Beverly Hills store. 

She was blinged out in sparkling diamonds around her wrists, neck and on her fingers.

The singer kept warm in the cool Los Angeles temperatures with a leather biker jacket draped around her shoulders.

The singer was all smiles as she was surrounding by her supportive handlers, who all appeared to be carrying their own expensive handbags.  

She was seen carrying a small black handbag as she exited the store with her entourage, although she didn't appear to buy anything as none of the people in her group had bags from the store. 

 Although the Daydream singer appeared cool, calm and collected, her professional career keeps taking hits.

 After trying to put her disastrous New Year's Eve performance in Times Square behind her, she's facing a setback.

Promoters in Chile are expected to lodge a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court in the next few days after she cancelled a South American tour last year.

The 46-year-old blamed 'promoter negligence' for the need to cancel shows in Brazil, Argentina and Chile last October and November, taking to Twitter ahead of the scheduled performances to write: 'To all of my lambs in South America, I am devastated that a portion of this tour had to be cancelled.

But reports say she cancelled performances in Buenos Aires, Santiago, and the Brazilian cities of Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre because she was upset overt her break-up with Australian billionaire James Packer.

Reports in Chile say Fenix Entertainment Group Chile is now preparing a lawsuit against the Emotions singer for financial losses and brand image damage.

It is expected to be lodged in a Los Angeles court later this week and alleges Carey decided she would not be performing after Fenix Chile had already sold nearly 8,000 tickets for the US singer's debut in the Chilean capital. 

She said over the weekend she's going to take a break from social media: 'Although I am going to fulfil my professional obligations, this is an important time for me to finally take a moment for myself and to deal with my loved ones and to prepare for my upcoming tour in March.'
