The four-time Oscar nominee hinted that the story of Laura Palmer's final days (as depicted in the 1992 prequel Fire Walk with Me) is 'very much important for this.'
David directed all 18 hours of the nine episodes, which were co-written by his original co-creator, Mark Frost.
Joining Lynch onstage the Langham Huntington Hotel & Spa were five castmembers - Laura Dern, Kimmy Robertson, Mädchen Amick, Kyle MacLachlan, and Robert Forster.
The 57-year-old Golden Globe winner - who plays FBI Agent Dale Cooper - admitted it wasn't 'necessarily seamless' returning: 'We aged a bit.'
