Put up for a whopping 11 gongs at the ceremony - held in February - including Best Film, Director, Leading Actor, and Leading Actress, La La Land is already being touted as the big winner.

But if their success on Sunday at the Globes, and the prospect of more vaunted prizes, had gone to their heads, the two Hollywood A-Listers didn't show it.

Emma dressed down in a causal yet chic ensemble for the hop across the Atlantic, teaming a white jumper with skinny blue jeans.

Adding a touch of seasonal flair to her wardrobe, the Easy A star threw on a grey overcoat and black boots.

Possibly trying to keep a low-profile, Emma also wore a cap pulled low over her brow which she teamed with large dark sunglasses.

Ryan went for a similar dressed down theme, teaming a black jeans with a white tee, leather jacket and checked lumberjack jacket.

La La Land has been widely praised by critics, while some movie-goers have reportedly got up to cheer and applaud after the powerful opening sequence.

The Daily Mail's film critic Brian Viner said the movie provided the 'lingering, old-fashioned sense of escapism brought on by all the best musicals', while NPR's David Edelstein described the movie as 'a musical tour de force'.
