But Kate Beckinsale proved she looks almost as good fully clothed as she headed for a night out in West Hollywood on Monday.

The silver screen beauty was turning heads for all the right reasons as she got ready to indulge herself at trendy nightspot Craigs.

And Michael Sheen's former lover was clearly in a sparkling mood, as the jolly beauty gave a jaunty wave to her fans before heading inside.

The endearingly narcissistic actress recently wowed fans by sharing a picture of herself in just a bra from a Shape magazine photo shoot on Instagram.

Cunning Underworld star Kate made sure she included a self-depreciating caption, insisting she was 'sniffing her armpit and twisting her head off' as the sizzling snap was taken.

She also boasted in the accompanying interview to the health magazine about her lifestyle and her body, insisting she steers clear of alcohol and that she has never had an entire glass of anything alcoholic.

Kate insisted: 'I don't drink alcohol. I feel [its effects] very quickly, so I've never actually had an entire glass of anything alcoholic.'

In addition she credited tough graft in the gym for sculpting her lithe legs and taut tummy.

She said: 'Hard-core workouts have really made a big difference in my life. I have a lot of internal energy, and intense exercise helps me channel that energy.

'I find balance by doing a workout that makes me pour sweat. I never was that girl before, but I am now.'
