Is that a maybe, Moby? Electronic artist says he will DJ Inauguration ball  if Trump releases his tax returns... after calling the incoming president a 'dim-witted, racist, misogynist'

  • Moby posted on Instagram claiming he was contacted to DJ the inauguration
  • He said he would consider playing if Trump released his tax returns
  • The vegan musician is vigorously anti-Trump and is a Clinton supporter

Moby offered to DJ the inauguration on January 20 if Trump released his tax returns

Moby has called President Elect Donald Trump a 'dim-witted, racist, misogynist,' so the musician was befuddled when a booking agent asked him to DJ an Inauguration ball.

However, on Monday the dance DJ did say he would consider playing on one condition.

He posted on Instagram: 'I guess I'd DJ at an inaugural ball if as payment #trump released his tax returns.

'Also I would probably play public enemy and stockhausen remixes to entertain the republicans.'

'I'm still laughing. Hahahaha. So #trump what do you think, I DJ for you and you release your tax returns?'

Whoever contacted Moby perhaps did not research the vegan musician's political leanings.

Trump has had trouble finding A-listers to play at his inauguration. Members of the Rockettes and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir have voiced disdain for having to perform at the event

The Hillary Clinton supporter wrote in Rolling Stone four days before the election: 'I think there is something seriously broken inside him where he's an actual sociopath and on the spectrum pretty close to being a psychopath.'

After the election he wrote an open letter published on Billboard saying Trump is a: 'racist and a misogynist who has ruined countless businesses and will be the worst president our country has ever, ever seen.'

It is safe to assume Moby is still not a fan of America's soon-to-be 45th president.

He regularly tweets negative articles about Trump and posted about ending the electoral college.

Moby released his hypothetical inauguration playlist to Billboard which consists of several anti-government tunes.

He ends the list with Billie Holiday's 'Strange Fruit,' a track which was written in the 1930s to protest against racism and particularly the lynching of black people. Rebecca Ferguson told Trump's team she would play the event if she could sing the haunting song.

Trump's team has struggled to find A-listers for the event. Even those who have already agreed to attend haven't done so without a bit of drama.

The team managed to book the Rockettes. However, one of the dancers took to social media bash Trump saying he is 'not my president.'

The Mormon Tabernacle Choice is also slated to perform. But one chorus member resigned from the elite group so she wouldn't have to sing at the inauguration.

America's next president says he isn't worried about the lack of star power just yet. Yesterday Trump told the New York Times: 'We are going to have an unbelievable, perhaps record-setting turnout for the inauguration, and there will be plenty of movie and entertainment stars.'

Presidents are not legally obliged to release their tax returns. But according to Politifact, Trump is the first Republican nominee since Nixon not to do so.  He claims he cannot release them because he is under audit from the IRS.

Mitt Romney was extremely critical of Trump for withholding his tax returns, saying being under audit is no excuse.

On Facebook he wrote: 'Tax returns provide the public with its sole confirmation of the veracity of a candidate's representations regarding charities, priorities, wealth, tax conformance, and conflicts of interest.'
