'I'm probably banned forever!' Andrew Garfield jokes about revelation he was high on pot brownies during birthday trip to Disneyland

Andrew Garfield recently revealed he had been high on pot brownies during a birthday trip to Disneyland for his 29th birthday.

He made the confession in an interview published last week by W magazine.

And at Sunday's Golden Globes he joked with E!: 'I'm probably banned forever.'

Actor non grata: Andrew Garfield joked at the Golden Globes on Sunday that he's 'probably banned forever' from Disneyland after being high on pot brownies during a birthday trip there

The actor, 33, was with then-girlfriend Emma Stone and some other friends at the Southern California theme park.

'They came out to L.A. to surprise me and we went to Disneyland and we ate pot brownies,' he explained. 'And it was literally heaven.'

'How about Space Mountain three times in a row?' he added. 'I freaked out on It's a Small World. I was like, 'It is a f***ing small world!''

Garfield, though, who is enjoying awards season notice for his turn in Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge was sure to add the caveat that he is not 'a big drug user.'

'I use it more for like ritual purposes. I’m responsible with drugs. Any young people watching, don’t hold it lightly, because it can really be a bad thing,' he said.

Garfield recounted his tale of what was then illegal behavior to W as he was being interviewed for inclusion in their February 'movie issue' for his roles in Hacksaw Ridge and the just released Martin Scorsese film Silence.

Talking about Silence, in which he plays a catholic priest on a mission to Japan in the 17th century, he said: 'The majority of my process in playing a priest in Silence was praying.'

'I’d never really prayed before, and I developed a relationship with a power greater than myself—call it God, call it love, call it what you will. It became very natural to me, and I realized that we’re all praying all the time.'

Back in the Big Apple: The actor, 33, was spotted Tuesday in New York dressed in dark suit pants and brown brogues with a black overcoat
