Handsome fellow: On Thursday, Chris Pratt posted a clip of himself seemingly getting older by the second while preparing to shoot his latest film Passengers

In the first frame, he appears almost clean-shaven and is sporting medium length brunette locks.

However as the time-lapse video proceeds, he appears to rapidly start aging as his make-up team adds more facial hair and additional length to the top of his head.

At about the midpoint of the massively sped-up clip, he can be seen eating a meal while the technicians continue with their work.

By the end, Chris looks scruffy, as though he hasn't shaved in months.

His cheeky caption alluded to the hard work his make-up artists put in to make his aging appear effortless.

'What would take a normal team a couple hours takes my #passengersmovie hair and makeup team only 60 seconds,' wrote the Hollywood heartthrob.

While he was content to rely on make-up for his role in Passengers, the former Parks and Recreation star recently dished to Vanity Fair about how he got in shape for Moneyball.

He was auditioning for the role of Oakland A's first basemen and catcher Scott Hatteberg for 2011 Oscar-nominated film Moneyball when the life-changing moment occurred.

Chris explained: 'That was the first time I heard someone say, 'We're not gonna cast you—you're too fat.'

'So I decided to drop the weight, like in wrestling. I couldn't afford a trainer, so it was all running and crash-dieting and cutting alcohol.'

He had also always wanted to play an action hero but did not think he could actually pull it off until he made a change with his role in Zero Dark Thirty.

The husband of Anna Faris explained: 'That's the first time I bulked up, got into great shape because I was playing a navy SEAL.'

When he finally saw the film he was satisfied with the change and saw himself as a completely different person as it felt real.
