And Rihanna looked typically striking in a bright green snakeskin coat as she stepped out in New York City on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old singer wore the textured mac over a rather casual baby pink hooded tracksuit.

She completed her ensemble with a miniature Louis Vuitton backpack and strappy white sandals with pointed gold stiletto heels.

Rihanna was heading for a night out at the Big Apple's trendy Up & Down Nightclub, with her look protected by a bodyguard who held an umbrella over her hair.

Rihanna recently unfollowed her longtime friend Jennifer Lopez, 47, on Instagram as pictures and reports confirmed that a relationship is brewing between the All I Need performer and Rihanna's old flame, Drake, 30.

Fuelling the fire further, JLo was by Drake's side on New Year's Eve at Hakkasan nightclub in Las Vegas where he was performing.

The Ain't Your Mama singer reportedly walked away from a $1million gig at another nightclub to spend time with Drake.

During his performance, the singer had the club's DJ stop playing the former couple's collaborative song Work in the middle, saying: 'That was a 2016 vibe.'

Meanwhile, Rihanna is keeping busy with her film career.

She just wrapped up filming for 2018's Ocean's Eight, an all-female spin off of Ocean's Eleven starring Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Dakota Fanning, and more.

Rihanna will also appear in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, a sci-fi flick set for release in summer of 2017.
