Kirstie Alley reveals she'd love to do a Cheers revival but jokes 'I might be the only one at the bar'

Kirstie Alley is down for a Cheers revival.

The actress made an appearance on Rachael Ray, to air on Friday, where the idea of a reboot of the classic show was brought up.

When Kirstie was asked if she would be in a Cheers revival, she joked: 'Well, I would, but I might be the only one at the bar.'

Rachael explained how sites like Netflix and Amazon have been doing well with bringing old favourite shows back to the screen, so perhaps, Cheers could be the next option. 

The Cheers alumni, who turned 66 on Thursday, also dished to the host on spending the holidays with her grandson and her recent appearance on the FOX series Scream Queens.

Kirstie's appearance on Rachael Ray will also feature her playing a game of Pop the Question where she'll answer questions by popping balloons with darts.

The episode is set to air on Friday, January 13.

The star played Ingrid Hoffel on Scream Queens, something she was proud to be a part of.

Kirstie spoke to TODAY on Thursday where she discussed series creator Ryan Murphy calling her to tell her he wanted to cast her on the horror comedy. While this was good news, it came during a time when she was preparing for a family reunion in Maine.

'He said, "You need to be here Monday." This was Thursday or Friday, I don't remember,' the 66-year-old explained. 'So my family had a reunion without me.'

'But I had the best time. It was really one of the best times of my career.'

The Golden Globe winner also gushed over how 'obsessed' she is with her 'funny' grandson Waylon.

'He's very intuitive and he watches everyone,' Kirstie said. 'If you say something funny, he laughs. If he does something funny, we laugh.'

'This is one of the best things that's ever happened in my life to be a grandmother.'
