No VIP treatment! Ben Affleck is frisked by TSA agent at LA airport just like any regular guy days after hobnobbing at Golden Globes

He is one of the most famous faces in Hollywood with three dozen films under his belt, a massive fan base and an estimated worth of $45 million.

But on Tuesday afternoon Ben Affleck was treated like just another regular guy as he tried to fly out of LAX airport in Los Angeles to make the British premiere of his latest directorial effort Live By Night the next day.

The 44-year-old Oscar winner was patted down by a TSA officer before he went on to his gate.

Batman wouldn't stand for this: The agent put his hands along the star's legs

Affleck had only his black socks on as he had to take off his shoes.

And the Argo star also took off the leather bomber jacket, cap and sunglasses he had when he entered the airport.

All that was left was a thin black T-shirt and oversized dark jeans.

Not a stone unturned: The Town star's socks and pockets were also checked

The male TSA agent was seen patting down Ben and then he later shook the actor's hand.

Affleck appeared to have a more private screening and not just the standard check after walking through a scanner.

He also seemed to be allowed to look at the screening computer.

This airport experience comes just before he looked like an A-list movie star at the BFI Southbank London premiere of Live By Night.

He was nicely gussied up in a dark suit as he posed with co-star Sienna Miller.

And the incident comes just two days after he worked the room at the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday evening.

He was there to watch brother Casey get the Best Actor nod for his work in the drama Manchester By The Sea.

And the ex of Jennifer Garner also made it the stage where he co-presented a category with his female Live By Night co-stars Sienna Miller and Zoe Saldana.

Ben has been busy plugging his 1920s set tale.

On Wednesday the Boston-raised actor's interview with UsWeekly was shared.

He was asked about his holiday vacation in Montana with Jennifer as well as his brother Casey and Matt Damon.

Affleck said Jennifer did the cooking for the families.

'Jen is a really great cook,' he began. 'She's probably the best cook I know. We had roast chicken this year; it was really, really good. Other than that, we do pizza nights, where a guy comes and makes pizza and nobody has to cook.'

The ex of Jennifer Lopez then added he does all the clean up after wards, most likely so Garner can look after their three kids, Violet, 11, Seraphina, eight, and Samuel, four.

When promoting Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice in the spring, Ben told E! News: 'You know, I just marvel at my mother who did a great job of raising my brother and I.

'Parenting is hard work but it's so rewarding and I certainly do my best.

'Jen is a superhero mom. She is an amazing mother and I'm really lucky to have her as a partner to co-parent these kids with. We try our best, we put them first and that's what we do.'

In his UsWeekly interview, Ben also stressed how much his family means to him and it comes before his career.

'Family comes first,' he said. 'My kids like to do a lot of crafts. Just getting a chance to spend time with them, play with them, do stuff with them, activities that are focused on house and home, that's ideal.'

He also admitted that he doesn't have much chill time, except on Sundays when he watches the Patriots game with Damon.

'That's a nice, relaxing day,' he said.

And he stressed that he is not out partying. 'I go to bed pretty early, around 10 pm. I'm old, I'm sad to say.'

Live By Night opens in US theaters on January 13.
