Kim Kardashian matches a MUCH more modest wedding ring to her faux lip piercing as she jets to Dubai for first gig since £3.5m sparkler was snatched

Kim Kardashian headed off to Dubai on Wednesday for her first international trip following her traumatic robbery in October.

Choosing much more modest jewellery than her last business trip - a very memorable visit to Paris for Fashion Week - it was obvious that a lot had changed for 36-year-old Kim. 

In the absence of her £3.5m wedding rock, which was stolen during the terrifying heist, the mum-of-two wore a smaller sparkler with a new faux piercing in her lip.

Kim Kardashian is slowly making her way back to the spotlight. After posting several family pictures to her Instagram page, she's about to participate in her first paid gig since the Paris debacle back in October.

The social media queen headed to the airport for her flight to Dubai in a black and red tracksuit that featured sweatpants from her husband Kanye West's Yeezy Season 4 collection.

Sporting a high-waist, cuffed ankles and a slogan of the Kardashian's favorite haunt, Calabasas, these new Yeezy joggers are the perfect accompaniment to any long-haul flight.

Kim was pictured at LAX alongside Scott Disick as she prepared to catch a flight to the Middle East.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is heading to Dubai to hold a makeup masterclass for paying fans alongside her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic.

Far from her usual eye-catching garbs, Kim wore a demure black velour tracksuit with red piping and lace-up boots.

She covered half her face with some humongous sunglasses and sported a ring in her bottom lip just like she did at the Kardashian Christmas Eve party. 

The Selfish author's long raven locks fell glossy in a centre parting and she flashed a little cleavage in a sheer black t-shirt. 

Also tagging along on the trip was Kim's cosmetic dermatologist Dr Ourian.

The E! star took to social media and joked that there, 'Aint no shame in my game! #LasersOnThePlane,' turning a blind eye to the posts that saw her accused of lavishing her wealth, just before the robbery.

In the posts, Kim seemed back to her old self, were it not for the absence of the $10 million worth of jewellery that she had been carrying Paris that weekend. 

Last week, Kim shared a Snapchat in which she wore a gold 'Calabasas' necklace, worth only $500.

TMZ report that Kim vowed after her robbery in early October she would lose the expensive jewellery for good.

They write that her latest necklace is a custom piece from XIV Karats, which sells in the $500 range.

While it is still rather pricey, it is nowhere near in the league of her seven figure pieces. 

Marking her return to work, most of those attending the six-hour long seminar with Kim this week have forked out over $1,600 to be there.

While those tickets - which included a meet and greet with the star and her makeup guru and a gift bag - have sold out, Kim told fans in the Middle East that they can still be non-VIP tickets, which cost $500.

Kim was originally meant to hold The Masterclass in Dubai on October 14 but it was cancelled in the wake of her October 3 robbery.   

French police had 17 people in custody who they arrested in connection to the theft in which armed men burst into Kim's hotel and stole $10 million worth of jewellery. 

A police source said: 'The oldest suspect is 72, while others are in their 50s and 60s. All are well known to the police.'

Another later arrest involved a 23-year-old.

A spokesperson for the French prosecutor's office said investigators had identified some of the accused using DNA evidence found at the crime scene and security camera images.

Some French outlets are reporting that the DNA evidence was found on a necklace that was dropped during the robbery and found in the street by a Good Samaritan.

Despite the new developments Kim was in good spirits as she and Mario got some prep in ahead of their trip with someSnapchats on Monday.
