Lord Snowdon, Princess Margaret’s former husband, dies aged 86

Lord Snowdon, the former husband of Princess Margaret, has died aged 86, the photographic agency he worked with has said. After his divorce to Princess Margaret amid rumours of her extra-marital affair, Lord Snowdon married Ms Lindsay-Hogg, the former wife of film director Michael Lindsay-Hogg. The marriage ended in divorce in 2000, this time facing allegations that Lord Snowdon was having an affair. There have been a number of similar claims made over the years. The photographer turned his lens on the worlds of theatre, fashion and high society when he began his career in the 1950s. He later became the royal photographer after his marriage to Princess Margaret. Killed by a space heater? Tragic house fire that killed six children from the same family

Investigators are examining the possibility that a faulty electric heater caused the catastrophic house fire that claimed the lives of six children in Baltimore on Thursday. While they have admitted it is too early to say, fire chiefs have said that the inferno could have been started by a simple space heater used to keep the chilling winter weather at bay. Police and fire services have said the home did had a space heater in it, but also said it is not known if that contributed to the blaze.
This tragic news comes as pictures of the children were released - along with images of their heroic eight-year-old sister, circled, who managed to rescue two of her younger siblings and her mother.
