Jenna Bush Hager broke down in tears Friday morning after she and sister Barbara read aloud the heartfelt letter they penned for Malia and Sasha Obama as the girls prepare to exit the White House after eight years at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. 'It's amazing how eight years go by and they become these really amazing women,' said an emotional Jenna. 'And we just wanted to make sure they knew.' The Bush twins are two of just a handful Americans who have lived in the White House as children of the president, moving in when their father assumed office in 2001. The twins however were 20 - two years older than Malia is now - when their father, became president. Jenna and Barbara write in their letter of first meeting Malia, then 10, and a 7-year-old Sasha to give them a tour of the White House. 'We saw both the light and wariness in your eyes as you gazed at your new home,' reads the letter.

Tennessee teen, Allie Dowdle (right and left), has raised more than $12,000 on GoFundMe after she claimed that her parents cut her off for dating African-American student, Michael Swift (left). The 18-year-old said that when she told her parents that she was dating a black student, her dad told her that she was not allowed to see him again and would no longer support her future. Her father, Bill Dowdle, said that issues with interracial dating in the South means the relationship wouldn't have been his preference. But he has insisted that his attitude was 'never about race', and is adamant that he isn't a racist. According to Mr Dowdle, he and his wife disapproved of Michael in part because Allie had started seeing him in secret.

The new revelation comes from American former CIA agent Robert Marrow who described the meeting between the Irish father and the child as the most disturbing thing he'd ever seen in his life. It had been widely reported Malachi Martin (pictured) told a friend an invisible force pushed him to his death, but his close friend Mr Marrow can help shed more light on the chain of events. It comes ahead of the release of a documentary on the life of the priest, called Hostage to the Devil, which is available on Netflix from Sunday.

NEW Grace Packer, 14, was abused in three homes before her horrific death. She was allegedly raped, killed and dismembered in Pennsylvania last year. Her adoptive mother Sara Packer and her boyfriend Jacob Sullivan have been charged with murder (top right) and other offences. The couple were in a 'polyamorous' relationship with another woman. She can be named as Katherine Allbright (bottom right). Allbright is being treated as a 'person of interest' but has not been charged with any crime. On her Facebook profile she calls herself 'INTJ' - a psychological type also known as 'the mastermind'.

This is the moment a female shepherd was trampled by her herd of sheep somewhere in Germany before a particularly large one rammed her over as she was standing up. Dashcam footage from an approaching car shows the woman escorting her flock across a road, before they get startled. As her dogs run over to the vehicle, the sheep knock her to the ground. She almost succeeds in getting back up before being sent tumbling over again.

The victim, who calls herself Isabel Eriksson (left) to protect her true identity, was drugged by Martin Trenneborg (top right) who then took her to his home made bunker (bottom right) in Kristianstad, southern Sweden. Eriksson tells how she woke to see a 'tin roof and a man sitting on a chair next to me, just looking at me'. Trenneborg was last year sentenced to ten years in prison for the 2015 abduction but was acquitted of aggravated rape. He was accused of using sinister rubber masks (bottom, centre) to conceal his own and his victim's identity as he transported her to his remote dungeon.

Paula Patton , 41, stated in her filing that she is concerned about the safety of the 6-year-old boy in the wake of two incidents earlier this mother where he allegedly spoke of being hit by his father, Robin Thicke. Patton claims that Julian complained to her on January 2 about how hard he was being hit by Thicke. Two days later, the school called authorities to report that the boy had revealed to an employee he was being punched by his father. Thicke, 39, was quick to respond to the allegations being made against him in his own declaration, claiming that he is an active and involved parents who coaches Julian's sports teams.

Video released Thursday shows Lisa Luna, 31, wandering around naked at a gas station in Gila Bend (left) and telling a deputy she was raped - an accusation she recanted two days later. Luna asks the officer for a jacket or something else to cover herself with, at which point the deputy goes to fetch a pink blanket at the back of the vehicle. But when he returns, Luna is in the driver's seat (right) and starts the pickup truck. Police said she led multiple agencies on a high-speed chase, ending near Eloy on Interstate 10 when she crashed into another vehicle and drove into the media. Luna (pictured inset in a mugshot) later told deputies she was high on methamphetamine and spice at the time of the incident. But she denied this version too in a jailhouse interview during which she said she had in fact been poisoned by a relative and felt 'possessed'.

Parents and teachers have shared hilarious photos of times children took instructions far too literally. One child was asked to 'name the quadrilaterals' in their test paper, but rather than differentiate a square from a rectangle, gave the coloured shapes human names like 'Bob' or 'Harry' (left). New York correction department employee Geliesha Smith, 26, was arrested at a Brooklyn motel on Friday night after allegedly offering to have sex for $120 with an undercover police officer. The undercover cop signaled for backup after she allegedly propositioned him inside a room at the Days Inn. Smith was arrested and charged with prostitution. Her Backpage advertisement features a video of her giving a man oral sex and promising potential clients a 'one of a kind experience' with a 'sexy petite body'.

Researchers have found that a new megacontinent - Amasia - will form in the next 250 million years. Dramatic footage on board the Middle Eastern Airlines flight from Beirut to London shows two men squaring up before they launch in to a frantic brawl sparking chaos on board. The younger man can be seen repeatedly punching the older passenger amid violent scenes that reportedly forced pilots to make an unscheduled stop in Istanbul, Turkey. Passengers and staff piled in as they tried desperately to intervene and break up the fight in the aisle.

A woman in the passenger seat jumped out and tried to perform CPR on Gibson, claiming he was just 'diabetic' before Abernathy yelled for help.

A shocking video has emerged showing a dog chained to the top of a cage as its owner drives down Interstate 95 in Florida. Brenna Cronin posted the disturbing footage to Facebook on Wednesday, writing in the caption that the driver was traveling with the dog that had 'the letter S branded into his right back leg'. The video shows the fearful dog, which appears to be a pit bull, chained to the top of a cage sitting on a trailer. As the woman's car passed the Chevrolet SUV, the dog managed to stand up.

Migrating between 300 and 3,000 metre altitudes, the Raute people also move according to seasons, staying at high altitudes during the monsoon season and transitioning to lower subtropical forests during the dryer winters.

Satellite images taken 19 years apart have revealed a massive crater created by the Bogoslof volcano in Alaska, that has taken out about a third of the island's landmass. The island has also added roughly 57,000 square meters of new land, thanks to huge amounts of lava and ash pouring from the active stratovolcano. The island has changed dramatically in just two decades. Points A-D are the same place in both photos. A is Castle Rock, B shows 1927 lava deposits, C shows 1992 lava and D is Fire Island. An extraordinary image has captured a drowned fox encased in blocks of ice after it fell into a river during freezing temperatures that are sweeping across much of Europe. The animal is said to have fallen through a layer of thin ice on the Danube river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany four days ago and was discovered on Friday trapped in ice by local resident Johannes Stehle. This week over 60 people have been killed by freezing temperatures across the continent.

The automated camera had been circling the tower in Seattle on New Year's Eve capturing images of the observation deck when it suddenly lost control and smashed into the skyscraper. After the crash, the drone was then retrieved by the Seattle Police Department, and the crash has now been reported to the Federal Aviation Administration. Police are still trying to trace the pilot, who may have been changing batteries in his controller at the time of the crash. It is unclear if he will face charges.
