'You don't have to be skin and bones': Jessica Gomes tells critics 'love me or leave me' as she gives advice to ANTM models at David Jones audition

It's been 10 years since she first auditioned to be a catwalk model for David Jones.

And now Jessica Gomes is completely comfortable discussing her celebrated body, to the point where she is hoping to impart some of the wisdom she's gained throughout her successful career.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the 32-year-old said couldn't care less about people who criticise her.

'I am like: Love me or leave me. This is me,' she said.

The statuesque brunette herself has gone through an incredible body transformation over the years.

'I think it's great everyone is embracing different shapes and sizes now, you don't have to be skin and bones,' she added.

Curves: Her once curvier figure catapulted her to Sports Illustrated fame

Jessica had long been known for her curvy figure, which catapulted her to Sports Illustrated fame.

The Perth-born beauty is an advocate of an active and a healthy lifestyle.

In the past, she has credited the Paleo diet for helping get back in shape for the 2015 David Jones Spring/Summer fashion parade.

A decade on: The model first walked for the David Jones runway ten years ago, and for the past four years has been an ambassador for the department store

Jessica attended the David Jones model casting for the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection on Thursday, where she happily posed and chatted with new models, including some of the latest batch of Australia's Next Top Model finalists.

At the audition, she posed fpr snaps with Australia's Next Top Model finalists Daisy Davies and Sabine Jamieson, and apparently provided a little professional advice.

The DJs ambassador also recalled her audition for a spot on the coveted catwalk, admitting she was 'really nervous'.

She has been the face of the upscale department store for four years.
