They are blissfully happy young married couple.

And even gloomy weather could not rain on Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross' parade as they went for a romantic stroll after lunch in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The dynamic duo looked like they were having a fantastic time in the uber posh Sherman Oaks area of the city.

Trends from the 1990s have been coming back in a big way. Nothing is ever new kids!

Singer and actress Ashlee,  32, was a sight in a woollen jacket, T-shirt, ripped jeans and boots.

And 28-year-old other half was looking more macho than usual in a blue pullover, black skinny jeans and combat boots.

The son of soul legend Diana Ross recently revealed he and his wife, who he married in 2014, are 'doing an album together. So we have a duet album happening.'

He said: 'We’ve got a lot of stuff that we’re creating together,' said he. 'We try to just do everything in-family because we enjoy being around each other.'

Hard-working Ashlee said her new record will be 'happening this year,' just nine years after the release of her most recent album Bittersweet World.

It comes after Evan revealed he loves nothing more than raiding his wife's wardrobe.

He said: 'The truth is - I know it sounds crazy - but we wear a lot of the same clothes.'

And it seems to have been one of these clothes-swapping moments that lit a lightbulb above the cunning entrepreneur's head - a his and hers fashion line.

He said: ''We're working on that, that's the truth.

'She wears a lot of my pants and certain things and we switch up outfits a lot so... We had an idea kind of about a He Plus She Equals We and kind of an androgynous line would be really cool.'
