And Karlie Kloss proved exactly why as she stepped out of the Good Girl by Carolina Herrera event in New York on Thursday.

The 24-year-old stunner opted for classic beauty as she wowed in the A-line midi dress layered beneath a tuxedo jacket - helping to blend super girly with androgynous to perfection.

Karlie slotted perfectly into the aesthetic of one of the fashion capitals of the world as she put on her sensational display - turning the sidewalk into a catwalk.

Perfectly tailored to her lithe physique, the blonde beauty dazzled in the black gown dress which nipped in at her waist and boasted a V-neckline.

Draped over her shoulders was a black tuxedo jacket, which toughened up the girly look to a degree, while also keeping out the chill.

She accessorised with staggering black heels while adding the only splash of colour through her bold red handbag - which coordinated with her red lipstick.

Just a day before, Karlie headed out to a photo shoot in a chic look featured a classic black and white tee.

She wore the wardrobe stable with a black leather A-line shirt and a tailored jacket.

Adding just a pop of colour to the monochrome look, the model ported a red handbag.

The blonde trotted along in black pointed toe pumps and sipped on a a green tea matcha latte.

Karlie was on her way to meet makeup artist Hung Vanngo and hairstylist Harry Josh who got her looking even more gorgeous.

The model is obviously a big fan of stripes as she stepped out in a patterned look the night before taking on near freezing temperatures with bare legs.

Despite the mercury hovering around 34F - and even dropping to 20F overnight - Karlie headed out to an event in a just over-the-knee dress.

The understated ribbed knit frock featured classic blue and white stripes on the skirt and navy and sky blue on the top.

She also skipped warm boots in favour of just a pair of simple ballet flats, taking a risk that it could not snow.
