Society photographer Lord Snowdon, the former husband of Princess Margaret, has died at the age of 86. Born Antony Armstrong-Jones, he photographed some of the most famous faces of the 20th century, from Diana, Princess of Wales to Jack Nicholson and Elizabeth Taylor, in a career that lasted more than six decades. But he will be remembered as the man who married into the royal family, wedding the Queen's sister Princess Margaret in 1960 - a union that ended in divorce 18 years later. A celebrity photographer who rode a motorbike, had divorced parents and was born without a title, Lord Snowdon was dubbed the 'first royal rebel' for his dislike of convention. The first real commoner to wed a king's daughter for 450 years, he is pictured right with Princess Margaret after their engagement in 1960, left on their wedding day, inset left in 1966 on a Royal engagement and inset right last October.

Alexandria Vera (pictured right in court and left in a selfie) pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child in November and received the sentence Friday. The former Aldine teacher, who has a six-year-old daughter, had admitted to having a sexual relationship with one of her eight grade students. Vera claimed the boy's parents accepted the relationship. Prosecutors said she had sex with him at least twice between September 30, 2015 and January 20, 2016. Vera got pregnant with their child in January. She had an abortion when investigators started looking into the case, court records state. Prosecutors said in court Vera had acted deceptively and had the boy and his father stay at her home while pretending to date the father. Her defense attorney meanwhile called as a witness a therapist, who said Vera had grown up witnessing domestic violence and had a strong need for love, as well as a 'big heart'.

Jenna and Barbara Bush penned a letter to Sasha and Malia Obama as they exit the White House. In the touching note, they referenced meeting the sister for the first time and showing them around their new Washington, D.C. home. Now Jenna has shared rare photos of her first meeting with the then-seven and ten-year old First Daughters. The sweet pictures show the younger girls sliding down a banister, Sasha smiling wide in the private theater, and Malia staring in awe at a bedroom.

Jenna Bush Hager broke down in tears Friday morning after she and sister Barbara read aloud the heartfelt letter they penned for Malia and Sasha Obama as the girls prepare to exit the White House after eight years at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. 'It's amazing how eight years go by and they become these really amazing women,' said an emotional Jenna. 'And we just wanted to make sure they knew.' The Bush twins are two of just a handful Americans who have lived in the White House as children of the president, moving in when their father assumed office in 2001. The twins however were 20 - two years older than Malia is now - when their father, became president. Jenna and Barbara write in their letter of first meeting Malia, then 10, and a 7-year-old Sasha to give them a tour of the White House. 'We saw both the light and wariness in your eyes as you gazed at your new home,' reads the letter.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee has announced artists are confirmed to perform during the inaugural celebrations, including Lee Greenwood (pictured top right), Toby Keith (pictured top left), and 3 Doors Down (lead singer pictured bottom left). This comes after Paul Anka (bottom right) has said that he is not going to perform during the inaugural ceremonies for President-elect Donald Trump. Two inaugural celebrations will be held free to the public on Thursday, January 19 at the Lincoln memorial.

It's the great port-a-potty cover-up for President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration. Workers preparing for the inauguration Jan. 20 have taped over the name of the company - 'Don's Johns' - that has long supplied portable restrooms for major outdoor events in the nation's capital. Virginia-based Don's Johns calls itself the Washington area's top provider of portable toilet rentals. But the name apparently strikes too close to home for inaugural organizers.

A Virginia man used 300,000 pennies to pay sales tax on two cars at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Nick Stafford delivered five wheelbarrows full of change, mostly pennies, at the DMW office in Lebanon, Virginia, on Wednesday. Stafford said he paid in coins to 'inconvenience' the DMV. Stafford was upset because he was unable to find out the direct number to the Lebanon DMV until filing a Freedom of Information Act request. He said he called the Lebanon DMV, but that it informed him he wasn't allowed to call that number and hung up on him. He later sought the numbers for 10 other DMV locations. Stafford sued the state because he says he was denied the phone numbers. He filed three lawsuits, which were dismissed Tuesday.

Padma Lakshmi was spotted heading into JFK Airport in New York City early Friday morning with ex-boyfriend Adam Dell. The pair then jetted off together, with the trip coming six years after it was revealed that Adam was the father of Padma's daughter Kirshna. Adam, 47, was forced to go to Manhattan Supreme Court in 2012 to get Padma to put his name on Krishna's birth certificate after DNA tests proved he was the father of 6-year-old Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell. The venture capitalist brother of Dell computer firm founder Michael Dell also went to court to get more access to his daughter. The couple spent years in court fighting over custody and child support before eventually reaching an agreement.

An Oklahoma mother angrily spoke out on Thursday after video of her four-year-old son kissing another boy during what appears to be a game of 'spin the bottle' at his daycare surfaced on social media. Dominique Green, a resident of Ardmore, Oklahoma, said that the adults who were supervising the children at Little Angels Daycare forced her son to kiss another boy.

The Oscar-nominated actress was dressed in black from head-to-toe for the solemn occasion, while her billionaire ex was seen entering the courthouse in a perfectly tailored navy-blue suit while carrying a copy of the Financial Times. The couple are fighting over visitation rights, with Busson requesting more time with his 4-year-old daughter and the ability to travel with the girl, as he lives in Europe. Thurman meanwhile is challenging Busson's request, alleging, among other things, that he often cancels his scheduled visits with young Luna.

Grace Packer, 14, was abused in three homes before her horrific death. She was allegedly raped, killed and dismembered in Pennsylvania last year. Her adoptive mother Sara Packer and her boyfriend Jacob Sullivan have been charged with murder (top right) and other offences. The couple were in a 'polyamorous' relationship with another woman. She can be named as Katherine Allbright (bottom right). Allbright is being treated as a 'person of interest' but has not been charged with any crime. On her Facebook profile she calls herself 'INTJ' - a psychological type also known as 'the mastermind'.

In the David-and-Goliath-like scenes a large guy approaches a smaller man. After a verbal confrontation the big man is floored by the slighter one. It is not know where the video was filmed. Onlookers can be heard gasping with shock in the background of the 15 second clip.

This young French girl is falling for her boyfriend in every way. After she led her partner to a romantic sea-view spot, he decided to shove her off a high rock onto the beach below. She cries out as she is pushed and, rather painfully, knocks into a section of rock jutting out half way down before collapsing in a heap at the bottom. However some viewers believe the footage was a set-up.

To celebrate their second pregnancy, Jenny and Ben Clarino from New Haven, Connecticut - who have been together for five years - decided to use their daughter Olivia in the announcement. The couple, who have been together for five years, hand her a cake pop to bite into to unveil whether the sponge inside is pink or blue - signifying if they're having a boy or a girl. But things do not go according to plan.

Parents and teachers have shared hilarious photos of times children took instructions far too literally. One child was asked to 'name the quadrilaterals' in their test paper, but rather than differentiate a square from a rectangle, gave the coloured shapes human names like 'Bob' or 'Harry' (left). Another child was told they weren't allowed to go outside, so lay flat on the front deck, only their feet remaining on the floorboards inside (inset). Other students were asked to bring their fish to school, but rather than bring in his pet, one little boy brought in a dead fish from the market (right).

Paula Patton , 41, stated in her filing that she is concerned about the safety of the 6-year-old boy in the wake of two incidents earlier this mother where he allegedly spoke of being hit by his father, Robin Thicke. Patton claims that Julian complained to her on January 2 about how hard he was being hit by Thicke. Two days later, the school called authorities to report that the boy had revealed to an employee he was being punched by his father. Thicke, 39, was quick to respond to the allegations being made against him in his own declaration, claiming that he is an active and involved parents who coaches Julian's sports teams.

A 19-year-old man from Indiana has been arrested after turning himself into police after admitting setting fire to a cat in a cornfield. Noah Riley poured gasoline on top of the animal before setting it alight. The animal was rescued when a retired firefighter, Steve Wright, noticed flames coming from a nearby field. It's thought the animal was able to survive the attack after landing in a puddle which helped to douse some of the flames.

Gitie Hirshenbaum (pictured in screenshots), 13, was waiting on a Brooklyn street corner for a school bus to pick her up Thursday when a livery cab driven by Mustapha Ouchaoui, 48 (inset) jumped the curb and slammed into her. The teen was thrown onto the hood of the car on impact and later landed in a grassy area, suffering only minor injuries.

This is the moment a female shepherd was trampled by her herd of sheep somewhere in Germany before a particularly large one rammed her over as she was standing up. Dashcam footage from an approaching car shows the woman escorting her flock across a road, before they get startled. As her dogs run over to the vehicle, the sheep knock her to the ground. She almost succeeds in getting back up before being sent tumbling over again.

Researchers have found that a new megacontinent - Amasia - will form in the next 250 million years. North and South America will crunch together, with the Caribbean Sea and Arctic Ocean disappearing, while Asia will join the Americas, according to research by Yale University researchers and Japan's Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology. This will happen because of the movement of the earth's tectonic plates - the enormous plates of the earth's crust that have drifted together and apart over hundreds and millions of years.

Dramatic footage on board the Middle Eastern Airlines flight from Beirut to London shows two men squaring up before they launch in to a frantic brawl sparking chaos on board. The younger man can be seen repeatedly punching the older passenger amid violent scenes that reportedly forced pilots to make an unscheduled stop in Istanbul, Turkey. Passengers and staff piled in as they tried desperately to intervene and break up the fight in the aisle.

A newlywed couple stunned their wedding guests with an amazing performance of the Dirty Dancing's most iconic scene. Instead of a traditional first dance, Lindsay Pergola and Richie Guarini decided to surprise their friends and family with something much better. After tying the knot in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, on New Year's Eve, they recreated the dance that Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze performed to 'Time of My Life' in the 1987 cult film (inset).

A shocking video has emerged showing a dog chained to the top of a cage as its owner drives down Interstate 95 in Florida. Brenna Cronin posted the disturbing footage to Facebook on Wednesday, writing in the caption that the driver was traveling with the dog that had 'the letter S branded into his right back leg'. The video shows the fearful dog, which appears to be a pit bull, chained to the top of a cage sitting on a trailer. As the woman's car passed the Chevrolet SUV, the dog managed to stand up.

The 18-year-old from Bragança Paulista in São Paulo, Brazil, was riding along when a car pulled out in his path. Travelling at speed the biker didn't have time to react to the upcoming hazard and smashed into it. Hitting the car on its side the bike flies off in one direction and its owner goes catapulting through the air.

An extraordinary image has captured a drowned fox encased in blocks of ice after it fell into a river during freezing temperatures that are sweeping across much of Europe. The animal is said to have fallen through a layer of thin ice on the Danube river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany four days ago and was discovered on Friday trapped in ice by local resident Johannes Stehle. This week over 60 people have been killed by freezing temperatures across the continent.

The hungry orangutan slapped a tourist in the face when he tried to take a photo with him rather than handing over a snack during an encounter on the Sekonyer River in Borneo, Indonesia. The man who filmed the video said: 'In the Borneo jungle on the Sekonyer River when we noticed a wild orangutan hanging from a tree. He joined us in this boat and slapped my friends across the face!'

Rarely seen images of the Arab revolt during the First World War are to be auctioned off later on this month. The photographs give an insight into the British forces and their interaction with Mesopotamia, known today as Iraq, as they battled Germany's allies, the Turkish Ottoman Empire. The intimate images show the British forces (top right) interacting with the native population of Mesopotamia, such as children playing (bottom left). They were taken by Mounter Harry Druquer, of the Army Service Corps, who also documented the revolt in several diaries, such as a 1,000 mile trek to Damascus (top left) and the success after Baghdad was captured in March 1917 (bottom right). The diaries, which are also being auctioned off, and the photographs, are expected to be sold for £2,000.
