Hilary Duff shares sweet kiss with her four-year-old son Luca after they both spent the week with a cold

She had to play doctor this week, fighting off her and her son's nasty colds.

But Hilary Duff and four-year-old Luca appeared to have recovered quickly as she was spotted embracing her son with a kiss while treating him to frozen yogurt in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old actress dressed comfortably on Friday in a white bomber jacket, tee and jeans as she topped off the look with a red beanie.

The Younger actress went with a natural look wearing no make-up and allowed her blonde locks to fall freely under her hat.

She accessorized with a large black designer purse.

The mother-and-son duo also seemed to fit in a round of shopping as the actress carried a box from the children's furniture and decor store, The Land of Nod.

This comes after the former Disney star took to Snapchat and Instagram to chronicle the course of her illness and to share sweet videos of Luca, whom she shares with former spouse Mike Comrie. 

She spent the day entertaining her rowdy preschooler with face paint, baking, and even building a miniature volcano.

In the Snaps, a miserable-looking Duff suffers a violent cough attack but then gets herself together and posts a selfie with the caption: 'Moms don't get sick days.'

Her recovery comes just in time for the weekend, and a few days ahead of the People's Choice Awards where Duff is nominated for Favorite Cable TV Actress.

The 2017 People's Choice Awards hosted by Joel McHale will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 18.
