Paul Anka has said he will not perform during the inaugural ceremonies for his 'old friend' President-elect Donald Trump.
Anka was one of a few musical artists who initially agreed to perform, but has said in a TMZ exclusive video that he now does not have the time.
He said that the President-elect is an old friend of his for 50 years, and that: 'There was a dialogue to do it, My Way is his favorite song, but the back story of it is I've been in a custody battle for two years for my son Ethan, and we have a new schedule now and I'm unable to do it.'
However, the Presidential Inaugural Committee has announced 'God Bless the USA' singer Lee Greenwood, Toby Keith, and 3 Doors Down will be among the artists to perform at the 'Make American Great Again! Welcome Celebration'.

However, the Presidential Inaugural Committee has announced other artists who are confirmed to perform during the 'Make American Great Again! Welcome Celebration'

Other performers include Jennifer Holliday, The Piano Guys, RaviDrums and The Frontmen of Country featuring Tim Rushlow, former lead singer of 'Little Texas', Larry Stewart of 'Restless Heart' and Richie McDonald of 'Lonestar'.
Two inaugural celebrations will be held free to the public on Thursday, January 19 at the Lincoln memorial in Washington, DC.

'The 58th Inaugural will celebrate American history and heritage, while setting the course to a brighter and bolder future for all Americans.
'Above all, it will serve as tribute to one of our greatest attributes, the peaceful transition of partisan power.'
'As Abraham Lincoln said, "when an election is over, it is altogether fitting a free people that until the next election they should be one people"
'We will be one people working together, leading together, and making America great again, together.'

Those participating include the DC Fire Department Emerald Society Pipes and Drums, King’s Academy Honor Choir, the Republican Hindu Coalition, Montgomery Area High School Marching Band, Marlana Van Hoose, Maury NJROTC Color Guard, Pride of Madawaska, Webelos Troop 177, Northern Middle School Honors Choir, American Tap Company, South Park and District Pipe Band, Everett High School Viking Marching Band, TwirlTasTix Baton Twirling, and Celtic United Pipes and Drums.
