There's no place like home?: Many wondered where the location of Kim Kardashian's intimate family photos took place as it definitely was not one of her multimillion dollar properties with Kanye West

Through plenty of pain-staking research and investigation on the internet, staff reporter Sylvia Obell came to the conclusion that it is legendary music producer Rick Rubin's Shangri La recording studio in Malibu.

She began piecing together the puzzle as she took to her Twitter to post a photo collage of the images posted by the 36-year-old reality star.

Along with the images featuring Kim's husband Kanye West and their children, Sylvia wrote the cheeky caption:  'Still trying to figure out whose house Kim and Kanye decided to go play "middle class" in.'

Investigation: Buzzfeed's Sylvia Obell wondered the same thing as she posted a collage of several of the images asking where the stars decided to play 'middle class'

Big lead: One of her followers had some interesting information that it appeared to be legendary music producer Rick Rubin's Shangri La recording studio in Malibu

Iconic: The 53-year-old superproducer - pictured in LA back in February 2015 - has worked with legends int he industry including Kanye, Adele, Johnny Cash and Metallica

It was there where she got a fantastic tip from a follower who wrote: '@SylviaObell that's Rick Rubin's shangri-la studio in Malibu where they have hung out for years.'

Back in 2014, Zane Lowe gave a tour of the iconic recording studio in a YouTube clip for BBC Radio 1.

In the video many of parts of the house could be seen where Kim and family were snapped up including the kitchen where the 39-year-old rapper could be seen eating soup.

Rubin's living room which features large windows and a double door appears to be the area where Kanye adjusted Kim's dress.

She's back! Kim, 36, made her triumphant return to social media with this adorable family photo featuring West, 39, and their two children: three-year-old daughter North and one-year-old son Saint

Look familiar? The deck and patio that the family were on looks exactly the same as the one Rubin is lounging on in a photo posted to Instagram last year

Kim returned to social media last week by posting a family photo - including three-year-old daughter North and one-year-old son Saint - with them posing out on a wooden deck patio.

In an image found on Instagram of 53-year-old Rick hanging out with his friends, that very same patio could be seen as the co-founder of Def Jam Records and pro-wrestling fan lounged out on the steps.

Rubin is an icon in the industry and has not only worked with Kanye but several top-tier talent including Adele, Lady Gaga, Jay Z, Johnny Cash, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Justin Timberlake and several others.

Compare and contrast: Back in 2014, Zane Lowe gave a tour of the iconic recording studio in a YouTube clip for BBC Radio 1 as much of the interior of the home matched

Yum: The kitchen from the studio seems to be the same one where Kanye ate soup from in a photo posted last week

'he always has my back': Kim also posted this image of Kanye checking on her dress which seems to be the same area as the double doors in the Shangri La's living room

Kim has adopted a new aesthetic following her return to the spotlight after her £8.5million armed robbery ordeal in Paris last October.

She has been sharing a new photo series by husband Kanye West's creative director Eli Russell Linnetz on Instagram that shows the couple with their children North, three, and Saint.

'Kim is obsessed,' an insider tells Us Weekly. 'She loves the way they look.'

But many fans have been skeptical of the photos.

Bonding time: She posted this image of Kanye hanging out with Saint earlier this week

'Why are trying so hard to look poor in these pictures!!! So fake once again (sic)', one person posted on social media.

Another raged, 'So we're using a filter to make you photos look grainy and you all are wearing $700 sweat pants and we're supposed to think you're all of a sudden down to earth?? So stupid!'.

'All I know is most people wouldn't get robbed, go into hiding and come back with fully clothed pictures that look like we are in the 70's', a third declared, while yet another fan shared, 'I have an idea, let's take pictures that aesthetically make us look poor' -Kim & crazy Kanye...GIRL BYE.'

Cuddling up: Kim also shared an image of her with her youngest son

Aww: North is seen here hugging her baby brother
