And it appears Maisie is enjoying getting her teeth stuck into fierce roles after she complained about being branded 'cute'.

'I've been told by a lot of people that I should keep my mouth shut. But that just fuels me to do the complete opposite', she told the Telegraph in 2015.

'I've always been opinionated. My school report when I was seven said 'Maisie is a very sweet little girl but needs to know who the teacher is'.

'I've always been bossy. I've always wanted to take control. Every girl should feel like that - that they can take control of their future. I want to inspire people to make those decisions based on what they want to do - not what they think they should do.'
