Mad about plaid! Melissa McCarthy, 46, shows off thinner frame in bright pantsuit as she reacts to Gilmore Girls' shocking conclusion 

She returned as the beloved best friend of Lorelai on Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life.

And on Friday, Melissa McCarthy revealed how she felt about the last four words in the series conclusion, while at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, California. 

The 46-year-old old, who wore a teal and white matching set, said: 'It's like, "Is that the last four words?"' via Entertainment Tonight

The actress was at the daytime event at the Langham Hotel to promote her new TV Land show, Nobodies, which she is executive producing with her husband Ben Falcone.

She chose a bold patterned blazer with cropped matching trousers.

The Bridesmaids star paired the green and white look with pointed heels and wavy tresses. 

Melissa played the character Sookie on Gilmore Girls from 2000 until the TV show ended in 2007.

She returned for the Netflix reboot of the series, which was released last year.

The revival takes place almost 10 years later with Rory returning to Stars Hollow to see her mother Lorelai and her grandmother Emily.

The four episodes released on Netflix were separated by seasons; the series concluded with Rory and her mom Lorelai in conversation.

The last four words spoken were: 'Mom?' 'Yeah?' 'I'm pregnant.'

Melissa said at the TCA press tour: 'I had been waiting a long time to know, because [creator] Amy [Sherman-Palladino] had always said she knows exactly how it ends, but now it's like, "Is that the last four words?"' according to ET online.

She said there 'hasn't been a conversation as of yet' about Gilmore Girls returning for another season on Netflix.

The mother of two did say though if it did come back again, she joked that she wants to return as Lorelai, adding 'and that is a challenge to Lauren Graham.' 

Nobodies is set to premiere on TV Land March 29.
