While she may be best known as a cast member on Real Housewives of New York City, fashion has always played a big role in Sonja's life.
'I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology for my Bachelor's degree, and I’ve always loved fashion,' she said.
'I’m an entertainer at heart. I just did an off-Broadway play and I grew up modelling and doing beauty pageants, but everything I've done has always involved fashion. I love dressing the part to excite people.'
Business savvy: Besides her growing fashion range, Sonja also runs a Prosecco line called Tipsy Girl
The Sonja Morgan New York Collection features items in luxurious materials and timeless silhouettes inspired by the pieces that Sonja loves to wear because, as she says, 'every woman deserves luxury'.
'I was brought up to always invest, never waste. I source the best fabric, trims and hardware that I can afford. I’ve always had the mentality to buy the best you can find.'
Designed to be worn 'at the office, a night on the town or traveling the world,' the line features gorgeous gowns, pretty cocktail dresses, sleek separates, swimwear and even fine jewelry.
Support system: Sonja's co-stars Bethenny Frankel and Luann D'Agostino sipped on Sonja's Tipsy Girl Prosecco as they attended the launch of her pop-up shop
The collection is made up of investment pieces, so Sonja wanted to stick with classic silhouettes that will last for years to come.
'Everything is seasonless,' she said. 'The designs will never go out of style.' Each piece in the line is versatile and can be dressed up or down depending on accessories.
'Nothing in my collection is fake or cheap. If you look at the back of my dresses, there’s always a detail and every piece has a full lining. That’s what I want my design house to be known for.'

Sonja's biggest piece of style advice for women? 'Avoid trends, there’s no space in any of our closets for unnecessary things.
'Instead buy a timeless investment piece that you can always wear.'
