The 4cm long sex stones - which cost from £45 to £54 - proved to be a popular accessory on her site and have since sold out, despite the hefty price tag.

Although it doesn't mention if the Iron Man star uses them herself, it does say the site have tried them after health blogger Shiva Rose swears by their effects.

They wrote: 'Shiva Rose has been practising with them for seven years, and raves about them. We tried them, too, and were so convinced we put them in the goop shop.'

Advising users to perform a ritual on the egg before insertion, Shiva - who suggests that readers use the aid daily for a month to see any results - admitted she light's a candle and burns 'some stage' ahead of her practise.

MailOnline have contacted Gwyneth's reps for comment.

She also told first-timers not to be embarrassed if the aid falls out when they stand up as 'it's totally normal' and takes practise but be sure to wrap it in silk after use.

Gwyneth's site Goop claims that the crystals date back to Ancient Asia and were 'strictly guarded secret of Chinese royalty' to 'stay in shape for emperors'.

An eyebrow raising item on the list included an Elvie's $199 Pelvic Floor Exercise Tracker for 'better orgasms', she also previously introduced her readers to the vagina steam clean and recommended a $15,000 24-carat gold-plated vibrator.

Meanwhile in March 2016, she admitted she was taking a break from Hollywood to focus on her company, GOOP, during an interview with Today show's Matt Lauer.

Saying that Goop is her '24/7 focus right now,' the Oscar winner added: 'We took some investment last year, so as soon as we had other people's money, I realized I really better focus on this completely.

'I'll return to acting probably, but probably not right now.'
