And it seems like desperate times call for desperate measures for Celine Dion.

The 48-year-old singer has slashed the price of her lavish Florida estate to $38.5 million according to the Sotheby's International Realty listing for the property.

The price is a huge cut of $37 million as it was originally listed at $75.5 million in September 2013.

She originally decided to sell the 5.5 acre estate on Jupiter Island in the South East region of the US when he was diagnosed with cancer.

After being listed at $75.5 million in September, the price quickly dropped by $10 million that following April.

Then last March, the asking price took another significant hit as it dropped down to $45.5 million.

Earlier this month she reportedly listed her private mansion in the exclusive Villa Montmorency neighbourhood of Paris.

Celine's home is reportedly worth around $9.3 million (9 Euros) and boasts four stories featuring five bedrooms and bathrooms.

According to French media reports Celine and Rene bought their Paris retreat in 2008.

The couple had been married for 21 years. They officially began dating in 1987, when she was 19 years old and he 45. By 1991 they were engaged. 

Two-days later, on January 16 (and what would have been her husband's 74th birthday), Celine lost her brother Daniel, 59, to cancer as well.
