'It's a big reality check': Bryan Tanaka feels heartbroken as James Packer visits Mariah Carey on reality show

Mariah Carey's backup dancer Bryan Tanaka was devastated on Sunday's episode of Mariah's World when he saw her cozying up to her then-fiancé James Packer.

Tanaka, 33, confessed that he was falling for 'The Queen' and had convinced himself that she might reciprocate.

But when Australian billionaire Packer showed up to celebrate Mimi's vodka launch in Paris, Tanaka was left heartbroken as he watched her smooching his love rival.

'Seeing Mariah and James all touchy feel. ...It doesn't seem real, but seeing it in real life, I guess it's real,' said Tanaka.

'It's a big reality check, took a lot of air out of my balloon, it just sucks,' he said mournfully.

Tanaka confided in his fellow dancer G. Madison.

'I was trippin' man, remember how I told you I was feeling a certain way about The Queen? I was feeling like there was something there, then James came into town, he's never really around, I've never seen them together really,' he said.

'It looks like she's really happy, and I want her to be happy you know?' he said sweetly.

'She's amazing…but I've been living in this fantasy…I feel like I made a big mistake,' he added cradling his head in his hands.

The show opened with Tanaka dressing up as a lamb for one of Mariah's stage shows.

'Have you ever seen a lamb with a camel toe?' he asked Mariah as she giggled.

The 46-year-old superstar's entourage were aware that Tanaka was holding a torch for 'Queen Mimi'.

'I think Tanaka has a very big crush on you, and I think you know this,' said Mariah's manager Stella Bulochnikov.

'Tanaka looks at you with hungry eyes,' she added.

On the way to Paris, Tanaka's luggage got lost - so he went shopping in a bath robe, while on crutches, to buy some new clothes.

'Nothing underneath the robe,' explained Mariah with a chuckle.

'Mariah's the type of woman that I see myself with, the amount of time that we spend together, it just feels like we're getting closer and closer,' said Tanaka wistfully.

The Bye Bye singer was excited to have 'the last fitting' for her wedding gown with her daughter Monroe also getting a custom dress.

'My two babies are my best friends,' she said of her twin children, who's father is Nick Cannon.

'Seeing in Mariah in that dress, it's definitely a wake-up call, I'm like ''oh yeah wedding'',' sighed Tanaka.

The team then gathered to celebrate Stella's birthday.

James Packer was due to attend.

'I think I'm going to put him and Tanaka in separate corners because we don't want any…nonsense,' said Stella.

Two of the six dancers got injured during one of Mariah's shows.

'It just seems like everybody is getting hurt on this tour and I don't know what to do,' fretted Mariah, who had been carried on stage on a chaise lounge.

Little help: Backup dancers were dropping during the tour

Mimi wanted to 'simplify the show' to help the remaining dancers, but her creative manager, Anthony Burrell, wasn't keen on the idea.

They practiced the all-important 'lifts' in their Paris hotel.

'This is so f***ing crazy,' agonised Mariah.

As they were about to perform in Paris the news of Prince's death broke.

'We just can't get her to stop crying,' said Stella.

'He was someone I could talk to when I needed somebody, he was always there,' said Mariah sadly.

Not wanting to disappoint the fans Mariah pulled it together and hit the stage.

'I didn't know if I was going to make it through the show tonight,' she told the crowd.

She also called Prince 'one of the greatest geniuses of our time'.

After the gig they had a launch party for her vodka brand.

'I was such a mess today…I really feel that you're amazing for coming,' Mariah told James.

She then whispered in his ear that before Prince died, she'd wanted to dedicate Hero to him.

'But with everything going on...,' she said.

In a sideline plot Mariah was shocked to see that her rear end had been exposed on social media.

The image had been posted to her account by Stella's 12-year-old daughter Mishka who had taken over her social media.

'I wouldn't have posted that,' she cringed.

'But your a** looks amazing in that photo, and you look so pretty, and your legs look long,' protested Mishka.

'Can you at least show me the photos first?' asked Mariah.
