Playful dad James Corden and his wife Julia enjoy sweet day out at local park with excitable son Max and daughter Carey in Malibu

They relocated to the States back in 2014 after the comedian landed the hosting role on The Late Late Show.

And James Corden and his family still seem to be loving the Californian lifestyle as they were seen enjoying a sweet day out in Malibu on Sunday.

The actor, 38, looked every inch the doting dad as he and wife Julia played around with their son Max, 5, and two-year-old daughter Carey at a local park - with James getting fully involved as he lifted his little ones upside down with glee.

Here we go! James Corden and his family still seem to be loving the Californian lifestyle as they were seen enjoying a sweet day out at a play park in Malibu on Sunday

We are family: The actor was joined by his wife Julia alongside their two-year-old daughter Carey (both above) and his five-year-old son Max for a low-key day of fun

Clad in a comfortable Tommy Hilfiger jumper and combat trousers, the Gavin and Stacey star kept things casual for the sweet day out with his kids.

Managing to keep a low profile amongst a busy crowd of other families, James got stuck in to the activities straight away by happily lifting his son onto the monkey bars and guiding him to the other side.

Proving himself the loving father, the star was then seen proudly patting the youngster on the back after managing to complete the obstacle.

After a full afternoon of playing, the family then reunited for a splash in the park's fountains before they enjoyed a stroll around the Malibu streets and shops, with James affectionately clasping on to his son's hand.

Hitting the heights: James later lifted his son Max up on an even higher activity to his delight

My turn! He later helped his son on the slide - who chose to go down on his front for a more thrilling ride - while his wife Julia looked after their little girl

The family appear to have settled back into their California home, after enjoying a blissful break in the Caribbean over the Christmas period.

Having found fame in the UK after starring in Fat Friends and Gavin and Stacey, James and his family relocated to the States in 2014 after he landed the hosting job on the Late Late Show.

Since taking over from famous front-man Craig Ferguson, the comedian has found huge success and worldwide fame with the role - with the show going on to win an Emmy in 2016.

Hold on tight! The actor spent plenty of time entertaining his kids and playfully swinging them in the air before they headed for home

Big move: Having found fame in the UK after starring in Gavin and Stacey, James and his family relocated to the States after he landed the hosting job on the Late Late Show in 2014

Talking on ITV's Lorraine earlier this year, James admitted he owes his success all to his wife - who agreed to make the move stateside at a chaotic time.

He said: 'All credit to my wife, who agreed to move when our daughter was five weeks old and our son was three.

'It was a massive undertaking. I work so hard in the week and then at the weekend, you click your fingers and it's like you are in the South Of France.

He then added in his usual witty style: 'Luckily it's our life for the foreseeable future or until I get sacked!'
