Bit awkward? Little Mix's Perrie Edwards and ex-fiance Zayn Malik will battle it out for best British single at the 2017 BRIT Awards

Little Mix's pop anthem Shout Out To My Ex is long rumoured to be about Perrie Edwards' former fiance Zayn Malik

So it certainly seems fitting that Perrie is going up against the Pillowtalk singer with that very track in the best British single category for the 2017 BRIT Awards.

The 23-year-old pop songstress - who's rumoured to be dating Arsenal player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - will battle it out with her ex-boyfriend of three years at the awards, which will be aired on February 22.

Awkward! Little Mix's Perrie Edwards is going up against her ex-fiance Zayn Malik for the best British single category for the BRITS in February

Former One Direction star Zayn's move into a solo career appears to be paying off as he has been nominated with his track, Pillowtalk.

He goes up against another X Factor alumni James Arthur and his track Say You Won't Let Go for the best British single.

Little Mix are also up for best British group, this time going against Radiohead, The 1975, Bastille and Biffy Clyro.

Over the past several months, there has been endless speculation that Perrie has taken swipes at her heart-throb ex in new Little Mix tracks.

Oh dear: The 23-year-old pop songstress will battle it out with her ex-boyfriend of three years at the awards

Hitting back: The pair became engaged in August 2013, but broke up two years later

However, Shout Out To My Ex garnered much attention, thanks to lyrics about a former boyfriend who's with 'some other chick'.

'I hope she getting better sex, Hope she ain't faking it like I did, babe,' the lyrics tellingly continued.

Zayne, 23, has found love with model Gigi Hadid, 21, since calling off his engagement to Perrie, 23, in August 2015.

Perrie, meanwhile, is reported to be dating Arsenal footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 23.

Subtle digs? Over the past several months, there has been endless speculation that Perrie has taken swipes at her heart-throb ex in new Little Mix tracks

New love: Since splitting with Perrie in 2015, Zayn has embarked on a romance with Gigi Hadid

Cute: Perrie appeared to confirm her relationship with Arsenal player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 23, in a recent Instagram snap

Perrie appeared to confirm her relationship with the sports star when she shared a snap of him on social media on Tuesday.

Captioned with a love heart eyed emoji, the 23-year-old's snap saw the footballer beaming as he sat at the dinner table.

Adding to the cuteness, both Perrie's pet Pomeranian and Alex's pooch were cuddled up in the snap as they looked up at the camera.

Perrie's Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson was clearly a fan of the snap, commenting 'Oh I see' with a love heart eyed emoji.

Shimmer and shine like Emma in Alice + Olivia

The bomber jacket has moved on from basic, sporty cover-up to something far more glam over the last couple of seasons and Emma’s sequin number is the perfect example.

The presenter headed up the nominations show for this year’s Brit Awards, and styled up her black vest and trouser combo with a bobby dazzler bomber jacket and a pair of killer heels.

The bomber is by Alice + Olivia and you can buy it now at FarFetch for just over £700. If you are on a majorly small budget following on from all the festive spending last month, but still fancy getting in on the high shine look, we have the answer for you.
