They're a couple off-screen as well as playing a married duo on their FX show.

So lucky for actors Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys that they got to spend time together on Sunday night while filming scenes for their spy drama The Americans.

Keri, 40, wrapped up in a long black coat over smart trousers as she strolled alongside her beau.

As cameras rolled the couple wore serious expressions as they walked with their hands in their pockets.

Matthew, 42, who hails from Wales, donned beige slacks and a black jacket.

At the Golden Globes earlier this month Keri and Matthew were both up for the best TV drama acting lead trophies for their roles as Soviet spies Philip 'Mischa' Jennings and Elizabeth 'Nadezhda' Jennings.

Hit show: The actors play a married couple, who are also KGB spies, in the FX drama which completed its fourth season last year

But the duo lost the honour to Goliath's Billy Bob Thornton and The Crown's Claire Foy, respectively.

Keri and Matthew confirmed their relationship less than a year after she separated from Shane Deary in 2013 after seven years.

The couple welcomed their first child together in May 2016.

Keri is also mother to two children - son River, nine; and daughter Willa, five- with her ex-husband.

The 13-episode fifth season of The Americans premiers in March on FX.
