'She knows she drove him away, but he's so powerful and knows how to run a successful business - and right now her business, which is 'Mariah Carey' is in trouble,' the source claimed to the magazine.

However, Mariah's representatives have told Daily Mail Australia the singer 'has not' been in touch with her ex-fiance or sought help from him.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for James Packer also said: 'There is no truth in the story.'

And now the singer is set to be sued by tour promoters for her cancelled South American concerts last year.

It's understood promoters in Chile are expected to lodge a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court in the next few days.

Mariah blamed 'promoter negligence' for the need to cancel shows in Brazil, Argentina and Chile last October and November.

But subsequent conflicting reports said she had cancelled performances in Buenos Aires, Santiago, and the Brazilian cities of Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre because she was upset overt her break-up with James

The move by the Chilean promoter could prompt similar legal action from its Buenos Aires-based parent company, according to the reports.
