'He sleeps wherever he can': Bryce Dallas Howard shows calendar of Ron Howard awkwardly sleeping on Jimmy Fallon Show

She's been busy promoting her latest biographical crime drama Gold.

But on Monday Bryce Dallas Howard makes time to discuss her a hilarious holiday family tradition during a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The 35-year-old actress revealed a calendar her family releases every season with photos of her famous father, Ron Howard, 62, in hilarious images of him sleeping throughout the year.

'A tradition is that my dad - he's a super guy and he's a father of four - and he does his job, so he gets sleep wherever he can grab it, and my mom takes pictures,' the Jurassic Park star explained.

'It's a calendar of him sleeping?' Jimmy, 42, questioned.

'Yes,' Bryce clarified.

'I mean it's the best thing I've ever seen,' the late night talk show host laughed while he began to show a series of photos of the multi-talented director, producer and actor in various sleeping positions.

'It's like an open house somewhere': Another photo was brought up of the multi-talented star sleeping in an empty walk-in closet

'This is him sleeping on a railing,' Jimmy explained as the live audience burst into laughter. 'I mean it's dangerous, it looks like a dangerous place to sleep.' 

'Why would he sleep there and not the grass?'

'Well I don't know,' the Golden Globe-nominated actress quipped. 'I don't think he's very discerning she replied as another photo was brought up of Ron sleeping in an empty walk-in closet.

The recent Golden Globe Awards host joked: 'It doesn't even look like it's his house, it's like he's somewhere else. It's like an open house somewhere he went and took a nap.

The red-headed beauty agreed: 'It's true, I've never seen that closet before.'

The self-styled actress looked stunning in a form-fitting sleeveless black dress that hit just below the knee.

She wore her signature strawberry blonde tresses styled stick straight with bangs swept to one side, allowing her natural beauty to take centre stage. 

Meanwhile the Twilight starlet discussed her upcoming role on Good Morning America as she co-stars alongside Hollywood hunk Matthew McConaughey, 47.

The film, which is based on a true story of a gold mining adventure, is centered around Matthew and Bryce's characters.

'I'm sort of from this tough background a little bit and I'm with Matthew McConaughey for many, many years,' the California-born beauty described her role of Kay. 

'And he's this dreamer,' she said of Matthew's character, Kenny Wells. 'And he will stop at nothing to achieve his dreams and [Kay] believes in him. And he goes on this adventure and he finds gold and then what happens - what happens when you find gold.' 

Gold is set to be released in US theatres on January 27.
