Azealia Banks has offered to perform at Donald Trump's inauguration after the event was snubbed by A listers.

The controversial singer took pity on the president-elect after celebrity after celebrity, from Elton John to John Legend, all refused to perform.

Current headliners include the likes of Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down and Lee Greenwood. In comparison, Beyonce, U2 and Bruce Springsteen performed at Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.

Banks, a vocal Trump supporter, says she is so disappointed with his line-up that she offered to perform.

'Saw the entertainment line (up) for the inauguration it made me very upset. This is an EPIC moment in modern history and it should def be celebrated in style,' she wrote on Facebook. 'I would love to perform at the inauguration.'

The Trump transition team have struggled to book any A listers to play at his inauguration tomorrow.

From Elton John and Celine Dion, to John Legend and Kiss, some of the world's biggest performers have made it clear they have no plans to perform.

Instead, 'God Bless the USA' singer Lee Greenwood, Toby Keith, and 3 Doors Down will be left to perform at the 'Make American Great Again! Welcome Celebration'.

Other performers include Jennifer Holliday, The Piano Guys, RaviDrums and The Frontmen of Country featuring Tim Rushlow, former lead singer of 'Little Texas', Larry Stewart of 'Restless Heart' and Richie McDonald of 'Lonestar'.

It may not come as a big surprise that Banks wants to sing for Trump after she publicly backed his presidential campaign last May.

The singer tweeted: 'I REALLY want Donald Trump to win the election.'

The Harlem-bred rapper explained that Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders 'didn't have the clout' and Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee, was too establishment for her taste.

'Hillary has been GROOMED for the presidency. she's another one of the establishments robots here to carry out an agenda,' the songstress said. 'Establishment' is code for 'white supremacy. culturally, economically, literally and figuratively.'

Trump, on the other hand, she said was an 'a**hole,' but he's not part of the 'establishment.'

'Trump just wants the U.S to be lavish.... for all of us. I can f*** with that,' she explained.

It is not clear whether Banks has approached Trump's team to play at the inaugural event although there's still time for her to be added to the line-up before tomorrow.

Banks makes headlines more often than the rest of the acts combined - although its rarely about her talent.

The famously outspoken performer was most recently in the news for her spat with singer Sia after Banks posted a video claiming she sacrificed chickens for witchcraft.

Sia had confronted the singer on Twitter, saying: 'Sacrificing animals for your gain is the wackest s**t I've ever heard. Get ahead by being awesome, kind and working hard.'

But Azealia didn't take too kindly to the comment and blasted the Cheap Thrills vocalist as a 'pompous white b***h'.

Last November she was in court to face charges that she spit on and bit a female bouncer on the breast on December 16, 2015 after being kicked out of Meatpacking club Up&Down because staff didn't recognize her.

The month prior, she had dropped plans to press charges against Russell Crowe after she accused him of assault, despite a room full of witnesses claiming that she was the aggressor.

The 25-year-old is infamous for her Twitter rants against other rappers, as well as politicians - she once suggested Sarah Palin be gang-raped.

In addition, she openly supported president-elect Donald Trump and mocked Hillary Clinton fans Katy Perry and Lady Gaga once she lost the election.

Las year she was swept into a media storm after she launched a foul-mouthed social media tirade at Zayn Malik.

The original drama was caused when Banks shared a picture collage on Instagram just hours after Zayn released the visual for his single, Like I Would back in the Spring.

While the singer clearly took inspiration from the Tron franchise, Azealia failed to agree as she posted mirror images from Zayn’s video and her own work.

She wrote: ‘D***, Zayn be mood boarding the s*** out of me… I’m not mad about this though. Zayn is a cutie pie.’

Zayn, who has 18.9m followers tweeted not long after: 'No lies ... I see you reaching but I don't care,' before adding: 'My @'s too good for you.'

His tweets sent Azealia into a frenzy as she then shared a series of highly offensive tweets with her 554,000 followers, stating: ‘Dude, I make better music than you. Simmer down with that fake white boy rebellion and that wannabe Beiber swag.

‘Lol u a b**** n**** for even responding like that. Keep sucking this yung rapunxel d*** u hairy curry scented b****.' Things then stepped up a notch as she continued: ‘Imma start calling you punjab you dirty b****.

She wrote to him in one tweet: 'U.S.A IS ABOUT TO TEACH YOU WHO NOT TO F**K WITH!! When your entire extended family has been obliterated by good ol the U.S of A will you still be trying to...'

Banks would easily be the biggest act at the inauguration if she were to perform tomorrow after numerous big stars turned down the invitation to play.

Trump's transition team faced major embarrassment after Anthony Scaramucci, who is a member of Mr Trump's transition team, wrongly claimed that Sir Elton John would be playing at the event.

The singer swiftly corrected him, saying: 'I don't really want my music to be involved in anything to do with an American election campaign,

'I'm not a Republican in a million years. Why not ask Ted f***ing Nugent? Or one of those f***ing country stars? They'll do it for you.''

It's not clear whether John Legend was asked to perform but he made clear what his answer would be.

'Creative people tend to reject bigotry and hate,' Legend told the BBC. 'When we see somebody that's preaching division and hate and bigotry, it's unlikely he'll get a lot of creative people that want to be associated with him.'

Iconic diva Celine Dion said she would not perform at the Trump celebration, despite an intense lobbying effort from Las Vegas casino magnate Steve Wynn.

Wynn had told the Donald he'd be able to deliver Dion, but the 48-year-old singer told him to think twice.

The casino magnate also unsuccessfully attempted to recruit Garth Brooks, who formerly inked a residency contract with Wynn, to play at the event, sources told the outlet.

The famed rock band Kiss was confirmed not to be playing the event, Gene Simmons' wife Shannon Tweed told TMZ. Simmons added the band was slated to be on a European tour coinciding with Trump's swearing-in.

Even Paul Anka has said he will not perform for his 'old friend' President-elect Donald Trump.

As more and more celebrities rejected his inauguration, Trump claimed he does not need stars.

'The so-called 'A' list celebrities are all wanting tixs (sic) to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING. I want the PEOPLE!' Trump tweeted.

Even a Bruce Springsteen cover band ended up pulling out of an inauguration event.

Two inaugural celebrations will be held free to the public on Thursday, January 19 at the Lincoln memorial in Washington, DC.
