Beverly Hills Cop star Judge Reinhold has admitted that he was a 'dumba**' after pleading no contest to disorderly conduct charges from his December TSA meltdown.

Reinhold was arrested on December 8 after a refusal to submit to a security pat-down turned into a protracted argument with airport staff that reportedly ended with him shirtless and swearing at officers.

'I am sorry for being such a dumba** with the TSA,' the actor said Wednesday, according to Dallas News, 'and continue to respect and support the work of the Dallas Police Department.'

Sorry: Actor Judge Reinhold (seen left being arrested on Dec 8) pleaded no contest Tuesday to a disorderly conduct charge. If he stays out of trouble in Dallas for 90 days, it will be dropped

Arrested: Reinhold was arrested after he refused to comply with a TSA pat-down, something he blamed on a bad reaction to medication. He later called himself an 'a**'

Reinhold faced at most a fine of $500 if found guilty on his one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct at Dallas Love Field airport.

Instead, however, he took deferred adjudication Tuesday, which gives him a 90-day window to avoid trouble in Dallas.

If he doesn't come to the attention of the city's police during that time, the charge will be dropped.

Reinhold and his family spend most of the year in New Mexico, Dallas News reported, so he looks unlikely to see a fine.

The December incident occurred as Reinhold and his family were visiting Dallas on their way to a comic book convention.

Star: Reinhold is seen here with Eddie Murphy in a promotional picture for Beverly Hills Cop II. His role as Detective Billy Rosewood is probably his most famous

Reinhold was selected for a random pat-down by TSA officials, something he objected to.

Reinhold refused to comply, even after security guards offered to do the search in a separate room, and a source told WFAA that Reinhold took off his shirt and used explicit language.

Officers had tried to calm him down but he again became belligerent.

At that point police were called and he was taken into custody.

Reinhold later claimed that he was suffering from the side-effects of a cocktail of drugs.

He said he had an allergic reaction to Cipro, which he had taken the night before because of a respiratory infection, and was subsequently given epinephrine, 'super Benadryl,' Xanax and prednisone.

The actor claimed the combination led to an out-of-character reaction in the airport, and apologized the next day and a number of times since.

Reinhold is best known as Detective Billy Rosewood, baby-faced colleague of Eddie Murphy's wisecracking Detective Axel Foley in the three Beverly Hills Cop movies.

A fourth Beverly Hills Cop film, again starring Murphy, is currently in production. It's not known if Reinhold will be involved.
