But when Georgia May Jagger debuted 'blorange' hair, she paved the way for what was to become a hair-raising trend.
The 25-year-old model, who is known for her cutting edge style, first rocked the look last year with the help of her stylist Alex Brownsell.
And fashion-forward women have followed suit, posting their photos of 'blorange' hair to Instagram.

Simply put, 'blorange' combines blonde with orange.
The end result is colour that has a distinct rose gold hue.
One stylist said they achieved the look by lightening the hair roots with a blonde colour, before going over it with a strawberry blonde toner.

'Is it orange? Gold? Peach? Do I see some pink in there? Nah, all you’ve got to say is that it’s #blorange,' one Instagram user wrote about the colour.
The colour is up for interpretation, with stylists adding either more blonde or more orange hues to change the shade.
Blorange comes hot on the heels of 'bronde', a hair trend that combines brunette and blonde.

Another similar trend of late was rose gold hair, worn by celebrities such as Blake Lively, Sienna Miller and - more recently - Emma Roberts.
