Balmy Californian temperatures were traded for something a little milder on Friday afternoon as Cat Deeley stepped out in London with her infant son.

The bubbly presenter, 40, was joined by Milo, her only child with husband Patrick Kielty, for a bracing stroll through the capital.

Cat, who divides her time between Los Angeles and London, was dressed appropriately in a chic red winter coat and thick scarf as she pushed her young son in a stroller.

Simple jeans added to a low-key look, while buckled boots and heavily tinted Wayfarer sunglasses rounded things off.

The TV favourite has been juggling her career with being a new mother after she and Patrick, 45, welcomed their baby boy last January.

One week after the tots birth, the presenter took to Twitter writing: 'Beyond delighted to announce the birth of our baby boy last week.

Cat and Patrick married in 2012 after being friends for more than a decade - but Patrick says he has no regrets about how long it took him to romance his wife.

Speaking to This Morning in August, the presenter and comedian admitted things happened exactly as they should.

'If we had got together at the start, we could have got on one another's nerves,' he said. 'All things came at the right time.

'I'm not sure we would be together if we had got together at the start.'

Speaking about being a older dad, Patrick quipped: 'It's a bit of a shock but it's the real world.

'Someone told me that at my age you get up in the night twice for a pee anyway so it's all good.'
