Tux appeal! Hugh Jackman is suited up to star as P T Barnum in The Greatest Showman as he's spotted with co-star Michelle Williams on NY set

He's playing an American politician, showman, and businessman remembered for promoting celebrated hoaxes. 

And Hugh Jackman, 48, had tux appeal as he stepped out on set as P T Barnum on Thursday. 

The actor was spotted alongside Michelle Williams filming The Greatest Showman on location in Brooklyn, New York.

Between takes he added a fleece to stay warm, over his white waistcoat. 

He looked handsome as he sported a crisp white winged collar, and smart black trousers. 

The star is the perfect singing, dancing and acting example of the triple threat.

And he's seemingly a hit with co-star Michelle Williams, 36, who bundled up against the cold between takes. 

The blonde beauty was spotted with her peroxide blonde hair slicked down to a neat parting and bright red lips as she kept warm with a quilted jacket and Uggs. 

The Australian Oscar-nominee will play P T Barnum in the movie musical biopic of the legendary 19th century creator of the three ring circus, and founder of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circuses.

The story is set to focus on Barnum's infatuation with Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind, despite his marriage to Michelle's character Charity.

Lind, known as the Swedish Nightingale will be played by Rebecca Ferguson, 33 - who was also spotted on set on Thursday. 

The cast is completed by Zac Efron as Barnum's right-hand-man Phillip, and singer Zendaya who plays a trapeze artist who is his love interest.

A full-blown modern musical, the film also boasts music by two of the names behind La La Land, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul who recently won the Best Song award at the Golden Globes and is scheduled for a Christmas Day release this year.
