The unnamed teen, now 14, was comforted by a golden retriever therapy dog while she testified and answered questions from the suspects, who acted as their own attorneys.

A brave dog saved his friend by pulling him out of a rushing river. Or, he just really wanted to take the stick. Footage from Córdoba, Argentina shows a black lab eagerly chasing a stick tossed near violent water in the YouTube video published on January 17. He leaps across a small current and onto slippy rock to claim their prize.

Sarah Gotham (pictured left) appeared in court alongside Craig Forbes (right) where they were accused of four joint counts of sexual assault against the same youngster. Gotham alone is charged with two further counts of sexual assault. The pair both denied all charges against them during the short hearing at Plymouth Crown Court. The offences allegedly took place in the city between December 1, 2012 and March 1, 2013. Judge Paul Darlow listed the case for a trial lasting three to four days, starting on May 30.

Gunn Narten, 30, from Norway, works as a firefighter and has just added another string to her bow by becoming a personal trainer and is so strong she can even lift a fire truck (inset). Gunn says that she wanted to be a firefighter from the age of 19 and while most men think her job is cool others are a little 'intimidated'.

In her latest YouTube hit, the Utah toddler belts out Toy Story theme tune You've Got A Friend In Me alongside her father, Dave Crosby, 28. At the start of the video, Dave sings the tune alone, but Claire takes over for the second verse. Later on, she duets with her father, delivering each note with accuracy and impressive harmony.

Paris Jackson has claimed her superstar father Michael was murdered in 2009 in what she describes as a 'setup'. The 18-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson opened up on her belief that he was murdered in a candid interview with Rolling Stone Magazine. The teen said her dad would drop hints about people being out to get him. Paris was just 11 when Jackson died from cardiac arrest in 2009 caused by a lethal combination of prescription drugs. The pop star's personal physician Dr Conrad Murray was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison over his death. Paris does blame Murray for her dad's death but believes something more sinister happened and she wants justice. Paris also opened up about being raped, her struggles with drug use and surviving 'multiple' suicide attempts when she was younger.

Elliot Stapleton-Giddins, 18, of Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire, had about £2,500 in his bank account when he was found hanging by his mother Tracey (left, together). The previous afternoon he had received a text from her saying: 'You need to pay £200 a month. The other rooms are £500 so it seems like a fair deal.' The teenager, who was said to have been 'in a happy relationship' with his girlfriend Lily Avril (right, together), worked as a chef for renowned restaurateur Dan Cameron. He was working up to 50 hours a week at Cameron's Kitchen, the self-titled restaurant of the finalist on the first series of Masterchef: The Professionals. Elliot had about £2,500 in his account at the time of his death, which he had planned to spend on going travelling, the inquest in Milton Keynes heard. Ms Stapleton-Giddins said her son's only outgoings were to pay for half of his phone bill each month.

We may be able to holiday on the moon within the next decade, experts claim. Now, one designed has created a novel spacecraft concept that he claims would someday ferry tourists, supplies and equipment to the lunar surface within two days - as long as you have $10 million (£8 million) to spare. The concept, dubbed Cycler, is based on technology available today, and could take people to asteroids and Mars. It's the work of Montreal-based designer, Charles Bombardier.

NEW Beachgoers were left stunned by an enormous cloud that suddenly materialised in the skies over California - in the shape of a UFO. The formation has been dubbed an 'Independence Day' cloud due to its remarkable likeness to the one signalling the end of the world in the Will Smith film. The eerie formation loomed over palm trees as it opened like a 'portal to the heavens' in Huntington Beach, California.

The footage, filmed in Poland, shows the teenager lying on his front on the sledge as he is dragged along the road at high speed. At first, he seems to be enjoying the ride, but can be heard getting increasingly agitated throughout the video. He shouts angrily as he is soaked by a large puddle of water, before managing to get safely off the sledge.

The Skoda owner, Hannah Crocker, had parked across the Audi (pictured left) after being left infuriated by the driver repeatedly taking up space on the five-car drive in Birmingham, West Midlands. Ms Crocker (inset), 25, a journalist who lives in a seven-person house share, said: 'I'd nipped out on Saturday morning and when I came back I was fuming to find my driveway blocked by an unknown car. Usually I would just park further up the road, but I was so annoyed as this kept happening - neither me nor my housemates had any idea who it was, so I decided to block the driver in.' Ms Crocker then went out with a friend, and came back hours later to find the raging driver trying to push her car into the road (right).

A brave model walked down a busy high street in a painted top to see if anyone would notice her bare chest. Body paint artist Sarah Ashleigh spent two hours painting the fake top on Kelly Klein for the MailOnline experiment. The stunner was then sent for a stroll down London's Kensington High Street to see how passersby would react to her usual outfit.

A young backpacker has been killed on a dream round-the-world trip after crashing her rented Jeep into a lamppost in Thailand. Ali Lambert, 22, was driving the pink off-road vehicle with friend Nezi Borislavova, 25, in the passenger seat during heavy rains on the Thai holiday island of Phuket last week. She smashed into a lamppost then skidded out of control down a steep embankment - flipping the Jeep several times leaving it 'completely destroyed'. Ali, originally from Vancouver, Canada, died at the scene.

A young man who was filming himself dancing in front of his camera was left red-faced - after his boss walked in on him. The hilarious, but embarrassing moment, was recorded on the Walmart employee's phone in an 'empty' room during his shift. He approached the camera and held his two necklaces up (left) and then took a few steps back and performed a unique dance move. The unnamed man, who was wearing his staff name badge, flicked his left leg up three times while saying something to the camera (right). But just seconds later, his employer appeared after walking through the door - forcing the man to rush towards his phone.

About 300 men and women gathered in Greensboro, North Carolina for the annual MerMania convention where people who identify as half-human, half-fish convene and socialize and get the chance to show off their elaborate, colorful costumes. Some of the silicone tails, and there are plenty, can weigh up to 50lbs and cost up to $6,000 apiece. It can take up to 15 minutes to get into one of the tails and the merfolk have to be greased up so they can wriggle into their outfits, helped by a 'mertender' (bottom right). Among the mermaids was Bonnie Lavender, a 34-year-old mother of one from Nashville Tennessee who makes a living as a professional mermaid. She swam with sharks in her fin while she was eight months pregnant and put her daughter in a fin when she was just five days old, such is her love of being a mermaid. Her husband is called Eric - a name he shares with Prince Eric, Ariel's love interest in the Disney movie The Little Mermaid, which Bonnie (pictured in a blonde wig and gold tail, main) is quick to note is a coincidence.
