John Craddick, from Wolverhampton, said he was sitting with a friend, teaching him how to use the Nasa live feed when he spotted the object on Friday 20 January (pictured). While it is not always possible to determine exactly what these objects are during the brief period they appear in the stream, there are a number possible explanations for these types of sightings. In the past, a Nasa spokesperson has explained, 'Reflections from station windows, the spacecraft structure itself or lights from Earth commonly appear as artefacts in photos and videos from the orbiting laboratory.'

Foldable seats and touch-screen windows: The flight innovations shortlisted for the aviation 'Oscars' that will transform plane journeys
The Crystal Cabin Awards have shortlisted 85 contenders for accolades in eight categories and are described as the ‘Oscars’ for futuristic plane cabin design. Strong entries include heated stone flooring (top right), touch screen windows (bottom right) and face cradle head rests, which have been designed by teams in Austria and Brazil. And United Airlines has been praised for its new business class cabins, which provide every passenger with aisle access (top left). Other breakthroughs include seats that can be packed away, by B/E Aerospace (bottom left).
Can YOU spot the assassin in this vintage illustration? Only one per cent of the population can see the hidden figure in this optical illusion
It is claimed that only one per cent of the population will be able to spot the hidden assassin in this vintage illustration. This optical illusion, posted to Playbuzz, features a man drawing a gun, ready to take on a duel but his enemy remains unseen, and the black and sepia toned image makes it even more difficult to spot where he is hiding.

The terrifying 'crypt keeper' wasp that turns its host into a ZOMBIE before eating it alive from the inside out and emerging from a hole in its head
A group of scientists from Rice University in Texas discovered the strange behaviour and said it is a rare example of hypermanipulation, when a parasite is manipulated by another parasite. The gall wasp would normally mature inside the crypt it made (pictured), then tunnel to freedom through an 'emergence hole'. But the parasite (inset) hijacks its host, and makes it drill an emergence hole too small to escape, making the gall wasp become stuck.
The hidden patterns of America's first temples: Ancient Pueblo people built geometric structures despite having no written language or number system
Hundreds of years ago, the ancient Southwestern Pueblo people built complex geometric structures with near-perfect accuracy, creating equilateral triangles, 45-degree right triangles, and even the ‘Golden rectangle.’ And, they did it all without writing any numbers down. At the Sun Temple archaeological site in Colorado (main image), constructed around AD 1200, researchers have discovered a slew of sophisticated shapes that are still familiar today, revealing architectural ‘genius’ that they say would be almost impossible to replicate. Similar patterns have been seen at Pueblo Bonito in New Mexico (pictured inset).
Bizarre video claims to show a UFO off the coast of Algeria 'sucking water' from the ocean using strange funnels
The clip was recorded on a mobile phone, and was posted on Ohio-based YouTube channel, Secureteam10, who regularly post supposed UFO sightings. The waterspout seen in the video is a phenomenon that appears fairly regularly in nature. But the waterspout itself is not what has peaked the UFO hunters' interests. Instead, they say an object in the sky around the waterspout could be a UFO.
The REAL music of the mind: Stunning images reveal the brain's internal rhythms
A new mathematical tool has revealed the rhythm of electrical activity in the brain as it responds to external stimuli. While researchers know that this activity, known as neural oscillation, takes place in the hippocampus region in rats to encode information on the animal’s position, much of its function in the human brain still remains a mystery. In a series of colourful diagrams, researchers have now revealed how these responses fluctuate, and they say the breakthrough could help improve neuroscientists’ understanding of these processes.
Gruesome Roman skeleton is found with his tongue RIPPED out and replaced by a stone
Researchers from Historic England discovered the skeleton, believed to belong to a man in his 30s, at a Roman burial site in Stanwick, Northamptonshire. This is the first time that a Roman skeleton with evidence of tongue mutilation has been found. The reasons for the removal of the tongue remain unclear, but researchers have suggested that he may have been mentally-ill and cut it out himself, or had it removed as a form of punishment.
Does this image show an alien being punched in the face? UFO hunter claims his struggle with ET before being abducted has been captured by Google satellites
A man who called himself John Mooner, from Newton Abbot in Devon, is no stranger to an alien encounter, he says. In his latest claim, he says a 'real alien abduction' has been captured taking place on Google's satellite cameras. Mr Mooner claims he does not remember the abduction at all, but is convinced it is himself in the footage. The moment of the abduction is supposedly shown by the green light in this image.
NASA’S astronauts get their first (virtual) ride in Orion: Training simulations of the capsule that could take man to Mars begin
NASA engineers have simulated what it will be like inside of the Orion spacecraft during launch when it takes off on its first manned mission as early as 2021. Subjects in the simulation were fitted with advanced crew escape suits as they carried out tests to determine how well they could see the display and controls as the craft vibrated atop the Space Launch System rocket. The first mission is set to launch in 2018, and while this will be uncrewed, the space agency has plans to send astronauts aboard Orion just four years from now.
Can YOU figure out how this is done? The magical moment a stick figure comes to life
It looks like a camera trick or optical illusion is being used, but this stick figure magically comes to life without any of this help. The question is how? Well to find out for yourself all you need is a whiteboard marker and a flat, shiny surface. Before too long the stick figure will amazingly be dancing and wiggling all over the place before your eyes.
Can YOU see the hidden messages in these logos? Take the test to find out how many you can find
From the endearing McDonald's golden arches, to the simple Nike tick, many global brands are instantly recognisable by their logo. And some, including BMW, FedEx and Carrefour, have gone to the extra effort to include hidden messages. You might not instantly be able to spot the hidden meaning, but once you see it, it's hard to forget.
