‘I need him for his money’: People admit the REAL reasons they’re getting married in searingly honest confessions
- For plenty of people, getting married is something they spend years dreaming about
- However, for others getting married has nothing to do with romance
- Engaged people have taken to Whisper to confess why they're really tying the knot
For plenty of people, getting married is something they spend years dreaming about and look forward to with excitement.
However, for others getting married involves very little romance and is instead being done for practical reasons - or even with ulterior motives.
Dozens of people have taken to secret-sharing site Whisper to confess why they're getting married - and their reasons have nothing to do with love.
One formerly homeless woman admitted she was marrying her fiance for his money
Depressingly, this woman seemed to be marrying someone she wasn't wild about simply so she wouldn't be alone
This woman implied she wasn't even in love with her fiance, saying the man she was in love with was already taken
Some of the more practical reasons involve one woman who's marrying so her son won't be raised by a single mother, while another admits it's easier to make their family happy.
Other reasons however are far more depressing - and duplicitous - with several admitting to marrying for money, and one woman confessing that the only reason she's marrying her fiance is because 'the man I do love married someone else'.
One woman proved she was making a poor decision in getting married - saying it was only because she felt 'too trapped' to get out
This woman was refusing to take her feeling of dread as a sign not to get married
This sincerely unromantic man claimed he was only getting married so he could stop using condoms
This woman was being rather cowardly - as she said she's only marrying because she can't face calling off the wedding
One not-so-mature man said he was tying the knot solely because 'my family expects me to'
Yet another woman took to Whisper to say her reason for getting married was financially motivated
This rather selfish person seemed to only want the big day - and not necessarily the lifetime commitment
