It's been a long time since they have called one another 'friend'.

But Paris Hilton was obviously feeling nostalgic when she shared a throwback photo of herself with pop princess Britney Spears to her Instagram page.

The onetime reality star turned DJ captioned the pic: '#Legends #BlondesRule #FBF'

In the image both women are looking their best, revealing their toned abs in crop tops.

Paris teams her snakeprint top with a pair of blue trousers and has her hair styled in an updo.

Britney teams a black and white striped top with a pair of jeans and a black hat as she stands in the side shot and smiles with her good pal.

Still on great terms: The reality star wished her friend a happy birthday last December with a photo of them together

The stars' friendship dates back more than a decade.

Last December, as Britney celebrated her 35th birthday, Paris posted a throwback Instagram image showing them grinning for the camera.

Paris captioned the snapshot: 'Happy Birthday @BritneySpears Sending you lots of love, happiness & well wishes beautiful #BirthdayGirl!'

Making headlines: The two ladies were big items in the news when they got into trouble during their heavy partying days. Here they are in Los Angeles in 2008

Britney and Paris were pretty inseparable in 2006 when they were making headlines for bizarre scandals, involving reported substance abuse as well as relationship disputes.

And while they may no longer hang out, it's clear that Paris misses her onetime pal.

In 2013, The Simple Life star gushed about Britney's song 'Work B-tch' and how much she enjoys her music.

'I love Britney,' Paris said. 'I think she's so beautiful. I love her music and I'm so proud of her.'

With her reality days behind her, Paris has been focusing on her business while Britney will be portrayed in the Lifetime film Britney Ever After premiering on February 18 at 8 p.m. ET.
