Law enforcement officials in Florida arrested a Sarasota couple that was found passed out in their car from an apparent high dosage of drugs (above) - even as they had two babies in the backseat. William Ballard (right inset), 36, and Delaney Crissinger (left inset), 32, drove their SUV into a Texaco gas station on Fruitville Road before dawn on Thursday morning. At approximately 8am, customers who drove into the gas station noticed the couple passed out in the front seats. In the back of the car, there were two toddlers - a 5-month-old and a 1-year-old.

Extremely graphic footage shows Mitchell falling to the ground with his eye protruding from its socket, as teammates and opponents rush to help him. The awful injury is too much for some to bare, with players, referees and courtside fans visibly upset by the sight.

Comedian Rory McGrath, of Cambridge, bombarded his harassment victim with a string of texts and emails threatening to reveal details of their affair to her husband. Messages reveals how the comedian, who was yesterday given a suspended sentence following a 14-month harassment campaign, goaded the woman with whom he had a five-year affair. In one message, he said: 'I will show your husband all the intimate photos and emails. This isn't a threat but a statement of fact. If you involve police your husband will find out anyway.' In another, McGrath (pictured outside court), warned: 'I have emails and am willing to show you, mesmerising and beautiful, but quite graphic photos.'

These are the winners of the International Association of Professional Birth Photographers' annual competition. The photos from the United States, Canada and Mexico capture everything - from water births to labor in the car; from crowning to holding the baby. Some show the spectators - an eyes-wide child peering as a man helps a woman deliver, or a midwife nonchalantly continuing as fluid sprays over him. One captures the moment a father, recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, holds his son in his arms for the very first time and speaks to him about the future.

A daily schedule issued by the White House said the President is due to meet 'Teresa May' in Washington later. In an adorable video, Grayce the pit bull (left), expressed her gratitude to foster mom Stevoni Wells Doyle (center) when she gently picked up her 11 puppies (right) and placed each of them in her lap. As her foster mom sat on the floor across from where Grayce gave birth to 10 boys and one girl, the sweet dog was seen placing the last three pups in her arms. The cute moment lasted for nearly two minutes as Grayce enjoyed all of the love and attention from Doyle and her puppies. Grayce was previously neglected in her last home and 'needed a safe environment to have her pups,' Doyle said. The adorable pooch has been living with Doyle in Utah for about three weeks. Applications to adopt Grayce and her pups will be available in February through Rescue Rovers.

The fascinating set of photographs date back to the 19th century and include pictures of warriors posing for the cameras and staging Harakiri, or Seppuku, which involved suicide in front of a crowd. The tradition was used by warriors who wanted to die with honour either voluntarily or if they had been caught by the enemy. Although the main image is staged, the ceremonial disembowelment, which is usually part of a more elaborate ritual and performed in front of spectators, consists of plunging a blade into the abdomen and drawing the blade from left to right, slicing the abdomen open.

These stunning black-and-white images offer a unique glimpse into the lives of traveller children. Photographer Jamie Johnson was given unprecedented access to the notoriously private Irish traveller commuity at the Ballinasloe Horse Fair and Festival in October. From a little girl smoking a fake cigarette to a young lad brandishing a machete to a couple of boys pointing plastic guns, her incredible images show the carefree traveller children at play.

As part of the Sydney Festival, the world-first event (left, right, inset) saw the dance company perform naked in front of a completely nude audience. The show, choreographed by Rafael Bonachela, catered to nudists, or audience members brave enough to bare all. The only rules- no clothes and you had to be over 18.

Marc Ryan, 29, was at home in Manchester when he was hit by a huge explosion that buried him alive in rubble. He tells of how he crawled out of the ruins to find help in the aftermath. Now out of hospital, he suffers nightmares every time he falls asleep and his body is covered in burns and bruises from the explosion.

Jonathan Dent, 32, of Grimsby, Lincolnshire, swerved as he sped along the bridge towards Hull (left) before his car flew over the barriers and landed on the footpath (right). The vehicle only just avoided falling into the water below - and Dent, who suffered injuries including a broken arm, was cut from the mangled wreckage (centre). The accident left the bridge with £11,000 worth of damage and put members of the public 'at severe risk', Grimsby Crown Court heard. Dent has now admitted dangerous driving and was given a suspended sentence of three months in jail as well as being disqualified from driving for three years.

This is the hilarious moment a cat pushed its friend down a toilet - before running away leaving it to pull itself out. The cats were playing on top of the toilet and one was a little higher up than the other who was stood on the seat. But as the light-haired feline tried to make its way down to the floor, it pressed on the other's back - pushing it into the toilet. The helpless cat then ended up inside the lavatory and was filmed trying to climb out. After struggling for a few seconds, the determined cat was able to pull itself out and run off towards its friend. It is not known where the video was made.

More pictures have emerged showing men at the mosque and children at school after they were snapped by European tourists in North Africa in 1899 and put through the Photocrom process. At the turn of the 19th century, countries such as Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia were popular destinations with the colonial classes of Britain and France. And with this European tourists who sought exoticism, wanted to snap pictures of local people going about their daily lives to show people back home.

The cute video has nearly been watched an astounding 60,000 times online. It isn't known where it was filmed but it shows the animals having a good old scratch on a perfectly placed metal pole. The three-minute video was uploaded by YouTube user George Saunders.
