They've been married over a decade, but the romance hasn't dimmed for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. 

The smitten pair looked as loved up as a pair of newlyweds on the red carpet at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards on Monday.

Nicole, who was wearing an elaborate parrot-inspired royal green gown, looked adoringly into the eyes of her slightly shorter hubby as they posed for photos.

The adorable twosome paused on the red carpet as they held hands and gently pressed their foreheads together in a touching moment of unity. 

As cameras flashed and fans screamed their names from the sidelines, the couple only had eyes for each other. 

The Aussie actress' country singer husband is as proud of her career as ever, and Nicole admitted the 49-year-old 'wept' when he watched her new drama Lion.   

'I knew we were onto a good thing when my sister and my husband saw the film and both came out weeping and wanting to hug me,' Nicole told E! News' Giuliana Rancic on Live From the Red Carpet.

'It has been so easy to promote this film and talk about it. It is love. It is about unity and family, about the power of mothering,' Nicole added.

The 49-year-old received a Best Supporting Actress nod and is up for a SAG award for the heartbreaking performance.

While she has plenty of adoration in the love and acting departments, Nicole's choice of dress at the ceremony raised some eyebrows.

Her glittering green Gucci gown with feathered parrots on each shoulder wasn't a hit with everyone watching the show.

Instead it gained the attention and amusement of social media users with some describing her looking 'like a Mardi Gras float'. 

The dress quickly became the subject of a barrage of jabs online, with most of the jokes being along the lines of: 'Polly want a cracker?'
