Cute couple alert! Ashlee Simpson and her husband Evan Ross stroll arm-in-arm as they enjoy child-free lunch date

They welcomed their baby daughter Jagger 18 months ago.

But even devoted parents Ashlee Simpson-Ross and Evan Ross need some grown-up time together away from their little girl and her son eight-year-old son Bronx with her ex, rocker Pete Wentz.

The loved up couple were spotted strolling arm-in-arm as they made their way to a cafe in the Sherman Oaks neighbourhood of Los Angeles on Monday.

Ashlee and Ross, both casually dressed, only had eyes for one another.

Diana Ross's 28-year-old son was dressed in black from top to toe in an over-sized T-shirt, skinny jeans and lace up boots.

With his razor cut hair, Evan protected his eyes from the bright sunshine behind a pair of dark glasses.

Ashlee, 32, echoed her husband's look in a  low-cut black T-shirt, black leggings and furry  Puma slides plus a jean jacket in blue.

The beautiful blonde left her long hair free to cascade over her shoulders and she, too, hid her eyes behind a pair of metal-rimmed shades.

Ever the doting husband,  The Hunger Games: Mockingjay actor posted an adorable black and white snap of himself kissing Ashlee on Instagram on Monday.

Puckering up: On Monday, Evan shared this incredibly cute black and white snap of himself kissing Ashlee that he captioned, 'My EVERYTHING!!'

He captioned it: 'MY EVERYTHING!!' using capital letters to emphasize the strength of his feelings. 

The couple's whirlwind romance began in mid-2013. 

They got engaged in January 2014 and tied the knot on August 30, at Evan's mother's estate in Connecticut.
