But This Is Us's Chrissy Metz finally feels ready to reveal the identity of her 'secret' boyfriend - turning up with him to a fancy showbusiness bash.

The actress brought along cameraman Josh Stancil to a pre-SAG Awards bash held by Entertainment Tonight on Saturday.

He has previously worked on Hollywood films such as The Hangover and it's sequels and TV shows such as Transparent.

The couple posed with their arms wrapped around one another, at the party at the upmarket Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

While she had not previously announced the name of her boyfriend, 36-year-old Chrissy had been openly excited about their romance.

'Oh my God it’s going great. It’s going great,' she told People magazine last month.

Chrissy gushed about how well her boyfriend is dealing with her newfound fame but said that she's taking her time to introduce him to the showbiz world.

She explained: 'I’m just weaning him in, as I’m weaning myself in,

'It’s a lot. It’s a lot of undertaking. I’m not going to be able to pay attention to him. I’m like, "Babe, sorry, sorry. Just a second babe. Hold on babe." Eventually it’ll be like a no-brainer.'

And Chrissy said then that she was excited to bring her beau to events, but all in due time.

'Eventually… you’ll all probably get to meet him,' she said.

'But I just feel like I’ve got to figure this out first, before I’m like, "Let me bring my boyfriend."'
