On the prowl! Katy Perry stuns in sheer leopard-patterned number as she gets ready to launch her new shoe range

She has been hard at work on her brand new shoe range.

And it's looking like Katy Perry is trying to do all in her power to make sure it's spot on.

The 32-year-old singer rocked a leopard number while proudly showing off some of her new heels on the cover of Footwear News.

She looked typically stunning while holding up sheer booties featuring a patterned studded detailing and see-through heels  from her eponymous shoe line for the front of the 30 January 2017 issue.

Katy was dressed to the nines in a sheer animal patterned maxi dress featuring a black lace detailing around the hemline.

The wildlife-inspired number was held together by a black belt as she teamed the look with matching heels from her collection.

The Firework hitmaker pulled her signature raven-coloured locks back in an elegant ponytail as she accentuated her porcelain skin with complimentary make-up topped off by a swipe of shiny pink lip.

In the other snaps from her shoot Katy could be seen proudly posing with her footwear creations. 

No doubt Katy has taken her range very seriously as it has taken four years of research and development.

Katy told the publication: '[Footwear] was a part of me that needed to be carefully created and developed, and I had to weigh a lot of my options.'

Being a fashionista herself, Katy knows the true price of fashion so she wanted to make the range decently affordable for her fans.

According to Footwear News pieces of the collection will range from $59 to $299. 

'Not everybody is rich, and not everybody is excessive,' Perry said. 'And everybody has more important things to spend their money on — whether it’s their children, or their family or their health. At the end of the day, your personality shouldn’t be so expensive to display.'

It is blatantly obvious that Katy is hard-working when it comes to her music and it seems like she wants to take the same approach when it comes to her range.

 'I want to learn a lot, master it and become a serious contributor in the fashion world,' Perry said. '[I don't want] to be a celebrity who overindulges and takes advantage of their position.'
