The big cover up! Dakota Johnson bundles up in a large scarf for a day out in chilly New York

For several racy scenes in the Fifty Shades franchise, she is entirely bare. 

But on Monday, Dakota Johnson was fully clothed during a chilly outing in New York. 

The actress attempted to beat the weather with a cosy, oversize scarf.

Dakota layered a black-and-white patterned coat over a pair of cropped denim jeans. 

The brunette star added a pair of loafer-style Gucci boots.  

Dakota's look was complete with multiple rings, shades and a Louis Vuitton.

Since 2015, Dakota has starred as Anastasia Steele in the raunchy Fifty Shades franchise. 

She'll appear in its sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, this year,  as well as the last film in the series, Fifty Shades Freed, in 2018. 

During an interview with Glamour UK, the actress discussed whether she was ready to stop appearing in films with heavily sexual content. 

'It’s not that it has put me off entirely, but I’m ready to do other stuff. And maybe they will be sexy [projects], or maybe they will be the complete opposite. But I do know that I’m ready to move on,' she said.

Apart from the Fifty Shades franchise, Dakota will appear in two additional films this year. 

In The Sound of Metal, the 27-year-old will star as the singer of a band who struggles with hearing loss.

She'll also appear in Suspiria, a horror-thriller alongside Chloe Grace Moretz and Tilda Swinton.
