'I got to give him a hug': Carter Thicke, 19, recalls final moments with dad Alan before Growing Pains star died of a heart attack
Carter Thicke was playing ice hockey with his famous father Alan Thicke on December 13 when the actor suffered a heart attack,
And on Tuesday, the 19-year-old told Entertainment Tonight about the final moments he spent with the Growing Pains star, 69, who subsequently passed away at a Burbank, California, hospital.
'The ambulance came and the paramedics had stabilized him and everything seemed fine,' Carter said. 'I got to give him a hug and said, 'I love you,' and that was the last time I saw him.'

Carter was Alan's son with his third wife Gina Tolleson.
His two older half-brothers singer Robin, 39, and Brennan, 41, were from the Canadian actor's first marriage to soap actress Gloria Loring.
'He was like the perfect dad,' Carter said of the late star.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Alan had chosen his brother Todd Thicke to act as executor of his will and take care of Carter in the event of his death.
Carter was a minor when the decision was made in 2007, according to TMZ .
The Canadian entertainer established a guardianship for Carter at the time of he drafted the will, as the boy was 10-years-old.
Thicke, in his will, granted sole custody to Carter's mother Gina Tolleson - his spouse from 1994 until 1999.
Should Tolleson have died before Alan, then he requested his brother Todd, a Hollywood producer, act as guardian.
The latest developments come on the heels of a Los Angeles Superior Court judge requiring Robin be monitored during visits with his 6-year-old son Julian Fuego, amid a contentious custody battle with Patton.
